Legendary Traveler: By Earning Progress Points I will Become Supreme!-Chapter 247: Expedition to Destinations Unknown (5)
"What's your answer, baby brother?" Anthony asked while holding his righ wrist with his left hand and rolling it out.
"I…don't know how to explain it; I just knew that if I didn't move, I'd get hurt."
"Exactly, you KNEW, although you couldn't even see the second attack because, technically, I used enough power to classify it as a Grade-Three spell, so you instinctually understood it would hurt if you were hit; THAT is Energia Sensing."
"If I'm being totally honest with you, little brother, with how DENSE the Ambient Energia is in your Territory and the surrounding areas, your Sensing should be leagues above what mine was at your level, and the fact you were able to move out of the way when your stats shouldn't be high enough to physically see the incoming attack are more than enough to prove that theory."
"Unfortunately, because you only face weaker monsters or ones at the same level as yourself, you have yet to be pushed into a situation where you need to rely on Energia Sensing, and as such, while your body has naturally adapted, you still haven't earned the passive which accompanies that ability."
"There's an Energia Sensing Passive…of course there is, there's ALWAYS a passive," Sighing heavily as his eyes scanned the trees, Aoni grumbled before moving to the side and barely dodging a third attack.
"Once you obtain that passive, only then will you have the ability to feel and track the presence of other beings. However, it isn't the end all be all, especially at lower Ranks; the Energia Sensing Passive is fairly unreliable, only allowing you to understand if something is weaker than you naturally, but at a certain point, you will be able to understand the general strength of your opponent and even utilize the passive as a means of locating enemies."

As they trekked further and further away from Erula, Aoni really had to admit having his brother around was quite the boon, or at least when it came to moving through the multiple feet of snow.
'Note to self, look into getting my hands on some items that will give me Fire Elementalization. It's too damn useful out here.' Aoni thought while casting a wistful gaze toward his brother's back.
"Stop looking at me like I'm your space heater." Feeling the prickle of Aoni's gaze on his back, Anthony whipped around and launched a few more firebolts in annoyance.
"Hey, who told you to carve a path through the snow? I was totally cool with jumping around like a monkey; after all, that's one of the perks of using hook swords; they're great for catching hold of branches and swinging." Juking to the right and deflecting the attacks with the broad side of Vestr, Aoni mocked back.
"Tsk, not even an hour in, and you can already predict the path my attacks are using; so damn unfair."
"What can I SAYYYY ima geniuusss~," Aoni said, using a comical voice resembling a certain Futuristic Cartoon Lobsterman.
"Genius, my ass, if I grew up in a territory like yours, I'd have long since carved by 6th or even 7th Circle, yet you are stuck at 2-Stars, so Shut the hell up!" Getting a bit angry at his brother's casual tone, Anthony muttered a few chants under his breath, then launched half a dozen ruler-sized bolts from different angles, some of which were dodged, others deflected. One even landed under Glacia, who used ZERO effort to dodge as she lazily slid around the snow.
That's right, this little bit of training wasn't solely for Aoni anymore, as the floof demanded to be allowed to "Play Tag" as well, much to the chagrin of both Aoni and Anthony.
After all, if one of these little attacks actually connected, it could cause some SERIOUS damage to the two of them.
"Say, Ant, how long is this shit going to take? Shouldn't I have already gotten the passive by now?" Aoni asked while hopping over a frozen yet dead tree that had fallen and been buried, only to be revealed and scorched by the immense heat radiating off Anthony's body as he cut a path through the snow, melting everything in a five-foot box around him.
"It took me six months, and you're bitching because after an hour, you still haven't learned it yet; what kind of broken passive gain boost does your Attribute give you that you think earning them is so easy?"
"Uh…you do know that only applies to Crafting Passives and not anything else, right…OHHH wait, can Energia Sensing be used for crafting? DAMN, that means I should get it pretty quickly, MKAYYY carry on, Ant, FIRE FIRE FIRE!"
"You…little…shit," gritting his teeth, Anthony decided to be the bigger man at that moment, and instead of lashing out at Aoni, cast a spell that created a massive flame ring before shooting it outward and instantly creating a large clearing.
"Meep," Blinking several times because he was stunned stupid by the small display of Anthony's power, the single word slipped Aoni's lips…pissing off a certain floof.
"GAOOOO! CHOMP!"
{'Bad brodder, my word, BAD!"
"Ahh Ahh Glacia, chill, CHILL, it was an ACCIDENT!"

Ignoring the fact that Glacia was basically chewing on Aoni's shin while he flailed about as if he were dying, Anthony walked around the edge of his creation, dropping down small glowing objects one by one.
'Seriously, Aoni is quite the freak, insane learning abilities, combat instincts on par with veteran warfighters, adept in magic and swordsmanship, and keen senses beyond anything someone his age or even Grade should be able to use.' Anthony thought while sending out some Energia into the runestones he was using to create an intricate temperature control spell.
If Aoni were paying attention and not goofing off with Glacia, he probably would have been hot on his brother's heels because what Anthony was doing could be considered a high-level spell.
Runestones are Man-made creations that acted as a means of focusing a Mage's magic into key points, kind of like one-time use, throw-away wands, or spell staves.
Each stone needed to be placed in precise locations and filled with the Caster's Energia; then, once complete, there was a chant for activation, and a large-scale Spell circle would be formed.
