Then he presented a scroll, sorrowfully saying, "Your Majesty, the other day, Sun Wukong, a demon immortal from Fruit Mountain, wrought havoc in the underworld, killed and injured countless underworld soldiers and spirits, swept away numerous lost souls, and nearly destroyed the Land of Reincarnation,

I present this petition from the Underworld Sect Leader, requesting His Majesty the Jade Emperor to dispatch divine troops to subdue this demon, to restore peace to the underworld."

At this, the Immortal Officers and Divine Generals in the hall were repeatedly astonished, again it was Sun Wukong!

A General Screen nearby took the scroll and presented it to the Jade Emperor.

why not issue a decree to soothe and recruit him, summon him to heaven, grant him an official title, both to manage and restrict him.

If he accepts the heavenly mandate, he could be further rewarded later, and if he defies it, he could then be captured.

First, it would avoid mustering troops; second, it would show a methodic way of recruiting immortals."

He then ordered Wenqu Xingjun to draft the decree and sent Taibai Venus to descend to the lower realm to carry out the recruitment.

Taibai Venus, bearing the decree, descended from the Southern Gate of Heaven, pressing down the auspicious clouds, and halted only upon reaching Fruit Mountain.

"This one is restless," thought Taibai Venus in his heart, and then he reached the Water Curtain Cave, addressing the little monkey outside, "I am an angel from the heavenly court, bearing a holy decree, summoning your king to heaven. Report it quickly."

The little monkey hastened into the cave to relay the message.

At that moment, Sun Wukong was practicing the Nine Transformations Mysterious Primordial Technique with the Dynamic Cultivation Technique and Static Cultivation Technique.

"Thank you, Elder Star Lord, for gracing us with your presence," Sun Wukong bowed and smiled, then said to the other monkeys, "Lads, quickly prepare a feast to entertain our guest."

"With the sacred decree at hand, I dare not delay," Taibai Venus hurriedly said, "So please, Great King, ascend to heaven swiftly."

"Very well, very well," Sun Wukong did not insist, and then commanded his four strong generals, "Guard the cave well, I’ll first ascend to scout the path, and later I’ll also bring you all up to reside there."

Immediately, he leaped on a cloud head, along with Taibai Venus, ascending toward the high heavens.
