I Only Want To Kill-Chapter 33: De Fallen
Chapter 33 - 33: De Fallen
The commercial district, De Fallen, resides in the far north of Akansa.
It is the largest, most crowded entertainment area in Akansa. If you want to have a good time, come to De Fallen in the city of angels.
On the surface, it is only a place for tourists and Awakeners to waste their money. Deep beneath, it is the biggest red-light district and prostitution operation in all of Ranas.
The reason Akansa gets its title is because of De Fallen. Come here and you can dive in a sea of beautiful angels of Awakeners.
It is one continuous street with several nightclubs, bars, and "entertainment establishments".
The locals call them EE, a nickname whenever they want to look for company.
Blaze has never thought too much about this De Fallen before. But now, he does wonder where all the workers come from.
Actually, he already knows thanks to William's memories.
Blaze stands with William at the start of the street.
Blaze is in his Tattered Cloak form with the creepy white Tattered Mask on his face. While William still wears the sports clothes of Akansa High.
The place seems deserted at the moment.
Trash litters the ground. Beer bottles are lying around everywhere.
Staff from all the establishments scatter around to clean up the mess, preparing for another crazy night.
"It actually looks much better than normal. Probably because of the Voidgate from last night."
William says. He tries his best to act normal, but he keeps swallowing his own spit from time to time.
Somehow William thinks that the Wraith may not be able to walk around in the day. No one told him that, nor does Blaze admit it.
It just seems logical that a terrified creature like this should not be able to appear under the sun.
But it does.
William is afraid that people may see him accompanied by this spirit. But then he remembers he is already dead. So nothing matters anymore.
"Let's go." The low, crispy voice of the creature emits again.
William notices the new face on Blaze, but he doesn't dare to say anything.
"The guy who is probably holding Alyson right now is Nadyr. He is the owner of the Roof."
"I know. I saw your memories."
William scratches his head in response. It is rather embarrassing, but he keeps talking, trying to prove his usefulness in front of the owner of his soul.
"Nadyr is a certified B-rank Awakened. His actual power ranking is not known to anyone, but at least it is B3 or higher."
Similar to C-rank, B-rank has five smaller levels from 5 to 1. The smaller the number, the more powerful the Awakened is and the closer they are to A-rank.
"Nadyr's power is Super Speed. At least that's what he told us. He can move extremely fast and hit as hard. He may have Super Strength as well.
Under him are five lieutenants.
Rufus. B5-rank power. He can control machinery. His favorite attack is bombarding the enemy with his controlled robots.
Dimon. B4-rank power. He can teleport a short distance. True teleportation, not like those Speedsters. He prefers to use a knife and is a beast at close combat.
Slava. B5-rank power. He can control air. More specifically, he can suck out the air of others. I once saw him kill a guy by choking him like that.
Timon. B4-rank power. A sand manipulator. This guy always wears a boilersuit, covering him from head to toe. Inside, it is obviously storing a lot of sand.
The last is Sergei. This one is the only B3-rank Awakened. He is the scariest under Nadyr. I have seen many men die because of him."
"Laser eyes. I saw Sergei in your memories."
Blaze says.
"Yes. What's terrifying is the guy can constrict or spread his laser at will. He once evaporated a guy to nothing but ashes. Truly a powerful Awakened."
Williams says.
"Are you afraid of them, William?"
"Yes, I do. My Pyro Dash may look flashy, but I will be dead instantly if I face those guys.
They also aren't the only B-rank there. Only the most dangerous one. With all of my team, I don't even think we will survive attacking the Roof."
"Is that so? Let's see how strong these Awakeners are then."
Blaze and William stop in front of a tall building.
The Roof is a five-story mansion with a big backyard and a pool.
There are many rooms inside, fulfilling the customer's need for space.
In front is the giant steel gate with two muscular guys standing guard. They all wear a white tank top and black pants.
The white top is slightly pink-colored. It is the sign of washed-out blood on their shirt. A way to tell their peers and the people around them that they are men of violence and crime.
They have tattoos covering their entire arm and a signature moon tattoo on their chest. A symbol of their gang.
They don't have an official title, but people call them the Moon Goons.
A ridiculous and stupid name, according to Blaze.
"Yo, William! The merchandise came up just in time!
You are as punctual as always."
One of the guards says.
William doesn't say a word, he looks over to Blaze.
The guard squints his eyes. They are familiar with superhero antics, so some Awakened wearing their costumes to their establishment is nothing new.
"Who is your friend over there?"
"I am the Wraith. I have a business proposition for your boss."
Both of the guards square up, getting ready for any combat. A proposal like this can very well be a provocation from other gangs.
"We don't know you."
"But I know William. And I am a B-rank."
Blaze points the Destruction Wand on the ground. Lightning strikes and leaves a burnt dent on the street.
"Pardon me for the costume, but it is a requirement for our organization."
The guards are quite startled due to the lightning but quickly recover themselves. They cautiously observe the destruction Blaze left behind. They are both C-rank and can recognize the scale of a power.
Blaze pushes William forward.
"Guys! Come on!
You know me. Let me and my friend here speak with Nadyr. He's only a B-rank. What can he do?"
"And what if you lead a B2 or B1 inside our establishment? Hell, I don't know. This guy can even be an A-rank."
"If I were an A-rank, I wouldn't even speak to you right now."
"Alright. Show us your power badge then."
Power badge, an identification inside Ranas that is as critical as the credit code.
The credit code is registered so that all citizens of Ranas can buy, sell, and trade. Most importantly, it allows the citizen to possess their official currency, Ranas Credit.
People usually only call it credit.
The power badge is registered by the Awakened League. An organization created by the Three Giants to monitor all of the Awakeners in Ranas.

It is equivalent to any citizen identification in other countries. The only difference is it is also an evaluation of one's power.
William silently sweats. He doesn't even know if this being has a power badge.
Blaze takes out his Destruction Wand. He has no time for these ordeals. If they won't allow him to infiltrate, he will make his way inside by force.
"Step aside, or I will make you!"
"Heh! I know you are trouble!"
Before the fight begins, a voice from behind Blaze interrupts them.
"What are you doing, boys?"
A skinny, tall man appears. Alongside him are five humanoid robots.
