Chapter 36: 36. Sparring With Little PP.

This was the first time the system had ever given him such a reward, and Austin couldn’t help but be surprised by what he was seeing.

Until now, his rewards had always involved unlocking new talents, magical affinities, or an increase in his attributes. So naturally, he had expected something similar.

But this time, it was different.

And that difference made his heart race with excitement.

As a prince of the empire, Austin had tasted a few local fruits like persimmons, jujubes, and chestnuts which were all common in some parts of the empire.

But since arriving in this world, he hadn’t encountered many of the fruits he remembered from Earth.

Of course, he knew that back on Earth, many of those fruits were imported into his country.

Maybe strawberries and cantaloupes existed here, just that it was in some faraway empire the Rin Empire didn’t trade with or had never even heard of.

That had been his theory all this time.

But now, with these seeds in his possession, a flood of new ideas surged through his mind.

He could already see it, large green fields, exotic fruit stands, villagers marveling at the taste of what he could do with the fruits, merchants clamoring to get a share of the harvest and his wives raining kisses all over his face when they got to be the first ones to taste what he had in mind for those fruits.

Thinking about all these, a wide grin stretched across his lips.

’Hehehe... things are about to get a lot more interesting.’

And just as he thought of this, another screen popped up before him.

[Congratulations to the Host!, all of your attributes have increased by 40 attribute points, and you’ve received an additional 40 summoning points, along with 20 new physique points as well.]

[Would you like to take a look at your status?]

’Yes.’

Austin immediately replied and his status was displayed in front of him.

Looking at the screen hovering in front of him, Austin could tell that it was only a matter of time before he ascended his rank and became a Second Order Exorcist.

His training with Mira and Little P.P. had really paid off.

He could feel it in his body and his movements when sparring with them.

And he couldn’t wait to grow even stronger.

With this thought in mind, Austin rested his arms behind his head, and he stared at the ceiling, imagining the stunned looks on his wives’ and aunt’s faces once they realized he had become a Second Order Exorcist.

A slow smile spread across his lips at that thought and he finally decided to call it a night.

With that satisfying thought in mind, Austin rolled onto his side and drifted off to sleep.

---

The next morning...

Austin suddenly felt a soft thud against his chest, followed by a warm, gentle weight pressing down on him.

He cracked one eye open, only to find a pair of glowing orange eyes staring straight at him.

"Little P.P...?"

The little pumpkin wobbled with joy while bouncing up and down on Austin’s bed.

It pointed toward the window, then it stood straight like a little warrior and mimicked a cute sword slash with its arms.

He followed it up with a double slash towards its imaginary enemy.

But his imaginary foe seemed to strike him straight in his heart, seeing as Little PP spun around and flopped onto Austin’s belly like a fallen warrior.

Seeing this, Austin chuckled. "Alright, alright. I get it. You want us to train, don’t you?"

Little P.P. beamed and nodded excitedly.

Ever since they’d started training with Mira, Little P.P. had loved every second of it.

But with the long journey from the imperial city and no opportunity to spar, the little spirit had grown quite restless.

Austin had promised him that they’d start training again once they arrived at the mansion.

And Little P.P. wasn’t about to let him forget it.

Hence why the little pumpkin had woken him up this morning.

And so, with an excited look on his face, Little PP held Austin’s hands and tried pulling Austin up from his bed.

Austin smiled and patted the tiny warrior’s head. "Alright, little man, you win. Let me get changed, and we’ll head out to the training yard. But it’s just us training this morning, okay?"

Little P.P. threw his arms into the air triumphantly and zoomed toward the door like a lightning bolt.

Austin chuckled before yawning and stretching his arms. "Man... who needs an alarm clock when you’ve got a battle-hungry pumpkin?"

---

A short while later...

The cool morning air filled the Han Mansion’s courtyard.

Dew clung to the grass, and the sun had just started warming the rooftops.

Austin stepped into the training ground while rolling his shoulders to loosen them.

Little P.P. followed close behind him while mimicking Austin’s warm-up stretches.

But Austin was used to it already because his little companion always tried to mirror him before every spar.

"All right, buddy. Let’s see what you’ve got today," Austin said with a smirk.

Lightning surged around his arms as he conjured two whips, which looked like flickering strands of electrical energy in his grip.

Meanwhile, Little P.P. clapped his hands together.

The sound cracked like thunder and electricity erupted around his tiny body.

Then he summoned two lightning whips in each hand.

Austin’s eyes widened in surprise when he noticed four lightning whips appearing out of the little pumpkin’s back like long, skinny worms that were filled with electricity.

"Woah," Austin exclaimed, but Little P.P. simply smiled mischievously before he slammed two of the whips into the ground in an X-shape.

Boom.

A shockwave rippled throughout the training ground, leaving deep scorch marks in the soil.

Seeing this, Austin let out a low whistle. ’Oh, this is going to be fun.’

"You ready to play?" Austin asked and Little PP nodded in response.

"Alright then. Let’s play."

The two locked determined eyes.

Tightened their grips on their whips

And then—

Flash!

They suddenly appeared at the center of the courtyard with a clash.

Lightning surged and snapped as the whips slashed against each other, causing electrical sparks to explode in every direction.
