I Can Assimilate Everything-Chapter 190: Skyborne I
The Kingdom of Neon…began to float.
Seamlessly, it disconnected from the earth below. A wondrous scaffolding supported everything with ease as gravity itself bent to new rules.
No tremors.
No quakes.
It felt almost ordinary, if not for the winds that should have ripped through the city, yet were held at bay by the transparent barrier that always encased Neon.
And at the same time, the Ancient Impenetrable Titanwall Dome continued its ascent. It passed the scaffolding, expanding upward in elegant spirals as it began wrapping around all of Neon and enveloping even the great Titanfall Mountain.
As it rose, so too did the figure of Achilles and over a hundred Titan Dwarves, still crafting wave after wave of glowing Runescriptures that fed the ever-growing Dome.
Their gazes were solemn, like priests enacting a glorious rite.
Rose looked on, eyes filled with love and pride.
The Draconic Eidolarch stood still, her expression unreadable, lost in thought.
And Achilles…
"Hoo…"
He exhaled.
His vibrant seas of Assimilation churned inside him, regenerating as fast as he expended them. He pushed the Kingdom higher, the mountain with it.
—
Within Neon.
The Advanced Humans were the first to feel it- not just see it, but feel it.
While all eyes witnessed the glowing purple-gold light emanating from beneath the city, it was they who perceived it- the land was moving.
No… it was flying.
"Impossible…"
Above the Primal Neon Tower, Dr. Shaw stood abruptly, shaken, his Andromeda Sentinels feeding him images and telemetry.
Their satellite view hovered above Neon like a massive eye, and its sensors, alongside every vessel near the barrier, registered the same phenomenon.
Weight…meant nothing.
All of them- Neon, the mountain, the Drones and Vessels...were rising.
The Living Scripts, interlaced with the Runescriptures Achilles had forged, and enhanced by his qualities… paved the way for the impossible.
"This…"
Dr. Shaw was speechless. Others sensed something was happening, but couldn't grasp the scale of it.
Opposite Achilles, the Magitech Frame of the True Magitech Throne narrowed its gaze. That unit registered everything. Her expression turned unfathomably serious.
"What is happening?" Overseer Jackson asked, his golden pupils glowing, his voice a blend of fear and awe.
Dr. Shaw shook his head, the disbelief in his eyes impossible to hide.
"Even if I told you exactly what I'm seeing… you might not believe me. So..."
He turned to face the golden figure, the Primordial Avatar of Achilles- his voice gentler, asking not as a peer, but as a subject might address a King.
Genuinely.
From the soul.
"King Primal... may I show them? Everyone here. Everyone in Neon. Because if I'm not dreaming… what I'm seeing changes everything. Absolutely everything."
Achilles only gave a small, calm nod.
And that was enough.
Dr. Shaw turned to his Sentinels, voice commanding.
"Tap into all screens across Neon."
…!
"And display this...to everyone."
Atop the Primal Neon Tower, one Andromeda Sentinel gleamed in silver-purple brilliance. It tilted its head, jaws unfolding as a projector activated, casting a vast illusionary screen into the sky.
It showed...
Wonder.
An obsidian mountain.
A city- no, a kingdom- wrapped in a shimmering barrier, filled with soaring skyscrapers and gliding vessels.
And beneath it…a weaving. A cloth of purple and gold light stretched along its underside, continuing upward like a veil about to encase the entirety of Neon and the mountain it had carried with it.
A city was rising. Truly rising.
Nyxaria Moonveil Lunaris trembled at the sight.
Luna collapsed to her knees.
The feed zoomed in.
At the base of the floating Kingdom, one man stood, releasing intricate waves of purple and gold.
Around him were titanic humanoid beings far larger than any natural human. Their obsidian crystalline skin shimmered, and they, too, poured scripts of glowing power into the air.
But everyone watching knew.
They knew the one responsible was the man who had declared, not long ago that he would raise Neon to the skies.
Advanced Humans stood frozen, unable to speak.
The True Magitech Throne's face was a mask of iron- staring at Achilles with deeper intensity than before.
But the most expressive of them all was Dr. Shaw.
He had shown this feed before when Achilles first declared his presence.
And now?
His voice echoed through the Primal Neon Tower, broadcast to every screen across Neon.
"A great many changes have occurred in what used to be the Colony City of Neon, but today…"
He swallowed. His voice trembled.
"Today… something historic is happening."
…!
He turned toward Achilles, still calmly studying the Magitech Frames, unbothered by the awe around him.
"What you see on your screens is not fantasy. That- that is Neon. The Kingdom of Neon. Flying. Rising above the land it was once bound to."
His voice cracked.
And then, without shame, tears fell.
Dr. Shaw, in his long white lab coat… was crying.
He couldn't remember the last time he had cried.
Not since his youth. Not since heartbreak. Not since before his awakening.
But now?
"Ladies and gentlemen," he said, voice thick, "we are witnessing the ascension of Neon into the skies themselves… we are free of the Evolutius Catacombs."
BOOM!
A resounding pulse spread through the Kingdom.
"We are free of the Catacombs. Free from Leyline Fractures. Never again. Never again!"
…!
In the streets of Neon.
Sleek, glowing sidewalks pulsing with Evolutius energy were silent.
The ultrafast roads, once filled with gliding transports, stilled.
Aerial Evolutius Vessels that wove between glistening towers and neon-lit spires held position, blinking with grandeur.
The skyline, ever-shifting with neon color, paused in reverence.
Even the Slums shrouded in flickering shadows held their breath.
Millions stared, stunned, at the screens.
"On this day," Dr. Shaw's voice echoed, filled with something holy.
"Through the hands of none other than King Primal…"
The screens zoomed in.
At the base of the floating kingdom stood one man, bathed in surging waves of purple and gold. Power cascaded from him, shaping into magnificent lines and symbols- living scripts that were radiating with waves of transcendence.
"Through his hands… we are free of the threat of Evolutius Beasts that has plagued Neon for generations."
…!
It struck them. All of them.
The truth.
And Dr. Shaw said it again, quieter this time.
"We… are free."
Then silence.
Only the visuals remained- Neon, floating like a dream above the earth.
And then…
Fervor erupted.
Shock gave way to awe.
And awe gave way to hope.
