Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 182: PEACE OFFERING
Chapter 182: PEACE OFFERING
"WOONHAK Hyung, do we really have to do this?" Yuno asked nervously while looking at the "IV drip" attached to his arm. "Gayoon Hyung would be upset..."
The "IV drip" attached to him contained Lee Woonhak’s liquified Mana.
Hence, Yuno had no choice but to lie down on the bed like the patient that he was.
Again.
Gayoon Hyung will definitely stress over this again.
That also meant their sex life would suffer once again.
Gayoon Hyung has been holding back all this time because he didn’t want me to overexert myself. If he sees me in this condition, he might not even kiss me this time.
Tsk.
Yuno didn’t know he was a little horny bastard until that moment.
Wait, what?
Did I just call myself ’little?’
Que horror!
"Madam, you didn’t want me to seal the Esper Core again, so this is the least thing I can do to stop the Esper Core from absorbing your Mana," Lee Woonhak explained in a scolding tone. "The Esper Core will get confused since an Esper’s Mana is flowing through your veins. Hence, it will be forced to stop absorbing Mana. But this is only a temporary measure. We either have to seal the Esper Mana or remove it from your heart."
Right.
Those options were available, but Yuno refused both.
Because I still need to talk to Esper Matthew-ssi’s ghost.
"Madam, didn’t you say that you could remove the Esper Core when it was still in Guide Kim Jaeha’s heart?" Lee Woonhak asked curiously. "Then can you follow the same procedure for yourself? I’ll help you if there’s anything I can do for you."
"I think I can remove the Esper Core on my own, but I’m afraid the Esper Core will die if it doesn’t have a ’vessel,’" Yuno explained, pausing for a moment. "When I harvested Guides’ Cores in the past, Father would put the Cores in ’vessels’ that apparently resembled a heart to keep them "alive." We don’t have that kind of Item here, so Esper Matthew-ssi’s Esper Core might "die" if we suddenly removed it from my heart."
Lee Woonhak nodded thoughtfully as if he could understand what Yuno was trying to say. "And we can’t have Esper Matthew-ssi’s Core dying on us."
"That’s right, Hyung."
"So, the madam is sacrificing himself just to keep a stranger’s Core alive. Gayoon won’t be happy with this, for real."
"Hyung..."
"I feel bad for my boss, Madam."
Ahem.
"I understand that Gayoon Hyung will be upset because he cares about me, but there are things that I need to do even if he doesn’t agree with it," Yuno said stubbornly. But he had to say that he felt a pang in his chest. It was as if he was doing Ki Gayoon dirty, and that made him feel guilty. "It’s not like I don’t care about Gayoon Hyung. That’s why I plan to beg for his forgiveness?"
"Madam, can I give you some advice?"
"I’ll appreciate it, Hyung."
"You just need to make sure that Gayoon won’t have the chance to get mad at you if you want to win the argument," Lee Woonhak said while patting Yuno’s shoulder. "I’ll make sure no one will be on this floor once Gayoon arrives."
Hmm?
Yuno only realized what Lee Woonhak was trying to say when the doctor left the VIP Room.
Honey trap.
In short, I need to seduce Gayoon Hyung so he’d be too distracted to get mad at me...?

IT WAS kind of awkward.
Kim Jaeha woke up in a different room than the one he remembered when Lee Haerin brought him to Lee Woonhak’s room.
It still looked as fancy as the previous room, but it had two beds this time.
And the person occupying the other bed was the person who saved him earlier.
"Your name is Kwon Hojun-ssi, right?"
"Yeah," Kwon Hojun said casually while peeling a tangerine. "You don’t have to speak formally to me. We’re the same age. Plus, you’re a high-class Guide."
"Then you can just call me by my name as well, Hojun-ah."
"If you insist, Jaeha-ya."
Oh.
Kim Jaeha didn’t expect Kwon Hojun to call him casually right away even though he was the one who offered that first.
Most people would be too awkward to do it, but not this one.
"Ah, was I not supposed to accept your offer?" Kwon Hojun asked, tilting his head to one side. "I was told I couldn’t read the room most of the time. So, I’d appreciate if you just be blunt with me, Jaeha-ssi. I won’t mind. I’m too dumb to remember things. In short, I’ll forget it right away even if you insult me now."
"No, it’s not like that. You can call me by my name casually," Kim Jaeha said, ashamed that Kwon Hojun misunderstood his expression. "I was just surprised that you weren’t treating me like I was some sort of god. I’m not saying that I want you to worship me. It’s just how I was treated by the people around me."
It was funny how the people he was talking about would worship him like a god only because of the benefits they would get from him.
But everyone would turn a blind eye every time Matthew started abusing him.
"I’m saying talking to you is like a breath of fresh air," Kim Jaeha explained shyly. "Thank you for treating me like a normal friend of the same age, Hojun-ah."
"It’s not something you should thank me for, but I’m glad that you see me as a friend," Kwon Hojun said, offering him the newly peeled tangerine in his hand. "Here. Don’t worry, I washed my hands."
"Thank you," Kim Jaeha said when he accepted the tangerine. "Uhm, I don’t have anything to offer you in return."
"I’m not asking you for anything in return, though?"
"Still, I received something from you."
"Jaeha-ya, it’s just a tangerine. You can just give me an apple if you really want to give something back to me."
"An apple wouldn’t suffice since you saved my life, Hojun-ah."
"Ah, so you were talking about that."
Kim Jaeha extended his hand to Kwon Hojun. "I’ll give you a light Guiding then."
"Huh? I don’t need Guiding?"
"We may not be compatible, but I’m still an A-Class Guide. My Guiding will surely replenish your Mana, so please don’t refuse my offer."
"Jaeha-ya, I have no use of your Guiding since I’m a Civilian."
"Do you hate the idea of receiving Guiding from me that much?"
"No, I’m really not an Esper," Kwon Hojun said, and then he pulled out his ID from his wallet and showed it to Kim Jaeha. "Look, this is my ID. As you can clearly see, this ID states that I’m a Civilian."
Oh.
It was true.
And the ID looked real.
"Why would you even think I’m an Esper?" Kwon Hojun asked, confused. "I’m just a Civilian."
"But my Mana is reacting to you..."
"What does it mean?"
Kim Jaeha shut his mouth while his brain was busy working overtime.
As a Guide, he had developed the ability to spot an Esper in the crowd.
He was pretty sure that his Mana was reacting to Kwon Hojun, and that was exactly while he offered to guide him.
It was something that Kim Jaeha wouldn’t normally do.
But Kwon Hojun saved his life, so he thought Guiding him for a moment would be the least thing he could do to show his gratitude.
So, he was shocked when Kwon Hojun claimed that he was a Civilian.
"Jeaha-ya, are you okay?"
"Hojun-ah, you should go to the Esper Association and have them evaluate you," Kim Jaeha said in a serious tone. "I’m pretty sure you’re about to awaken as an Esper."
Kwon Hojun’s face darkened, and then he avoided Kim Jaeha’s gaze. "I’d rather die than be an Esper, so please don’t jinx me, Jaeha-ya."

KI GAYOON almost crumbled the report in his hand.
That report contained everything that happened to Noh Yuno while he was away for a few hours.
I just stepped out for a moment and Noh Yuno almost died again?
Haaah.
That’s it— Noh Yuno and I won’t be leaving the house. I’ll ditch my match with Ryu Sungbin if I have to. I don’t care about fixing this damned country.
"Gayoon-ah, don’t be too harsh on the madam."
Tsk.
Gayoon raised his head and glared at Lee Woonhak. "Hyung, you should have just knocked out Noh Yuno and sealed that fucking Esper Core by force."
"Would you have forgiven me had I knocked out the madam?"
"Well, I would be mad at you for a few years, but I would still forgive you eventually..."
Lee Woonhak sighed and shook his head. "Go and convince the madam to seal the Esper Core. But don’t use violence or intimidation if you don’t want the madam to divorce you before you even get married."
Gayoon just scoffed before leaving Lee Woonhak’s private office.
And then he went straight to the VIP Room where Noh Yuno was supposed to be.
True to the Healer’s promise earlier, the entire floor was empty. freēwēbηovel.c૦m
I wonder what Woonhak Hyung is up to for doing this.
Gayoon let out a sigh, and then he opened the door quite roughly. "Noh Yuno, you punk— you’ll really be the end of me..."
Oh.
The "view" that greeted Gayoon made his brain buffer, and that made him feel things.
This is unfair, Noh Yuno.
