Guide Me If You Dare-Chapter 175: UNFORGIVABLE
Chapter 175: UNFORGIVABLE
IT WAS a soft gust of wind, but Kwon Hojun was bothered by it.
To be honest, he couldn’t help but think that there was a ghost next to him because of how cold the air was.
It was chilly since it was still early morning.
However, the kind of coldness that he could feel at the moment was still different.
Should I go and see a shaman later?
Kwon Hojun’s silly thoughts were interrupted when Kim Jaeha, the half-dead Guide, began coughing up blood.
Aigoo.
He couldn’t help but gently rub the Guide’s back.
That was the only thing he could do for him, after all.
"Please endure it a bit more," Kwon Hojun whispered. He couldn’t go anywhere because Kim Jaeha was holding his arm tightly, but it wasn’t like he would just leave him there. "Help is coming. I called Yuno Hyung. Do you know him? He claims that he’s a scaredy-cat, but he can’t stop yapping even if that puts his life in danger. Plus, even though he always says he wants a normal life, he keeps getting in trouble because he’s actually a busybody. He can’t stand injustice, so he always finds himself helping other people."
To be honest, he didn’t know if Kim Jaeha could understand what he was saying.
But he’s conscious, so I hope he can hear me.
"Please trust me when I say Yuno Hyung is the person we can trust most."
It looked like Kim Jaeha did understand Kwon Hojun.
After all, the Guide let out what seemed like a sigh of relief.
But Kim Jaeha, as if all strength lost his body after getting relieved, suddenly fell unconscious.
"Hey, kid!"
Fortunately, Kwon Hojun caught Kim Jaeha before the kid hit the asphalt.
"You can’t die on me, okay?"
"Kids!"
Kwon Hojun raised his head and was relieved to see a familiar face.
It’s Lee Haerin-ssi— the manager noona who recruited me.
"Let me help you."
"Manager-nim, I can carry Kim Jaeha-ssi."
"Kid, I’m stronger than you."
Right.
Lee Haerin was pretty petite, so Kwon Hojun almost forgot she was a high-ranking Esper.
That humbled him.
Hence, Kwon Hojun let Lee Haerin carry Kim Jaeha in her arms as if the Guide weighed nothing.
Espers are really cool.
The good ones, that is.

YUNO was already in the car— as Ki Gayoon’s passenger princess, of course— when he received a call from Lee Haerin, the manager of HoneyMoon Convenience Store. "Manager Lee, did you find the kids?" freewёbnoνel.com
<"Yes, and the kids are with me now. But Guide Kim Jaeha’s injuries aren’t something that could be fixed with a first-aid, Yuno-ya. He needs to be treated in a big hospital.">
Kim Jaeha’s injuries were that bad?
<"I’m bringing Kim Jaeha to the Seowon Hospital, Yuno-ya. I’ll leave the store to your young friend in the meantime.">
Yuno was about to agree, but Ki Gayoon spoke.
"Don’t bring Kim Jaeha to Seowon Hospital. It’s owned by Moon Noa’s family, but Bambi and the Bureau have eyes and ears there," Ki Gayoon said calmly. "Bring Kim Jaeha to Lee Woonhak’s clinic. Your manager is a high-ranking Esper. She should know where Lee Woonhak’s clinic is."
Yuno nodded in acknowledgment of what Ki Gayoon said. "Noona, please bring Kim Jaeha to Esper Lee Woonhak-ssi’s clinic. We’ll see you there."
<"Alright, I understand.">
It seemed like Lee Haerin was really in a hurry since she ended the call right away.
So, now, Yuno was nervous as hell.
Haerin Noona rarely panics. She didn’t even budge when Leehan Hyung came home almost half-dead in the past.
But it was probably because Lee Haerin had a soft spot for young Awakened People.
Especially for young Guides.
That’s why Noona took care of me well.
"Noh Yuno, I know it’s no use telling you to calm down because you can’t help but worry about your Guide friend," Ki Gayoon said, gently squeezing Yuno’s thigh as if to soothe him down. "I can’t also say that everything will be fine since I don’t even know the situation. But trust me— I’ll fix whatever it is that needs to be fixed."
Aigoo.
Gayoon Hyung sucks at comforting people.
However, Yuno still found it sweet.
Yeah, something must be wrong with him.
I guess the way Gayoon Hyung consoles people fits me just fine.
"Thank you, Hyung," Yuno said, putting his hand on top of Ki Gayoon’s hand. "I trust you."

EVERYTHING happened so fast.
Kwon Hojun was supposed to stay at the HoneyMoon Convenience Store to close it since Lee Haerin was in a hurry.
However, Kim Jaeha kept clinging to his arm.
Hence, in the end, Lee Haerin decided to bring him with them.
And now we’re here.
By "here," Kwon Hojun meant the ’Woonhak Healing Clinic.’
It was supposed to be a clinic, but it was more of a small private hospital.
The facilities of the clinic were superb.
Even the VIP Room where Kim Jaeha was brought could compete with the VIP Rooms in other bigger hospitals.
But that wasn’t the reason why Kwon Hojun was a little shocked.
It’s Esper Lee Sarang-nim...
Yes, the #2 Esper was there, in the flesh!
When Lee Sarang saw their group, she immediately called Lee Woonhak— a B-Class Esper known for his amazing healing abilities, and also a famous A-list actor.
Wow.
I’m surrounded by celebrities.
"What’s happening to Kim Jaeha, Woonhak-ssi?" Lee Sarang asked worriedly. "Why isn’t he getting better after you healed all his wounds?"
Right.
Kwon Hojun thought he was watching a miracle happen right in front of him when he saw Lee Woonhak heal Kim Jaeha using his powers.
The process was really simple.
Lee Woonhak just put his hands on Kim Jaeha’s chest. Then golden lights appeared until the Guide was covered in them.
And, just like that, Kim Jaeha’s physical wounds disappeared one by one.
"My healing abilities worked since Guide Kim Jaeha’s physical wounds aren’t as bad as they look," Kim Woonhak explained. "As long as an injury doesn’t need surgery, I can heal it."
Ah, so that was what happened.
Even so, Kwon Hojun was still impressed.
No wonder Esper Lee Woonhak is treated on the same level as A-Class Espers even though he’s just a B-Class Esper.
Esper Lee Woonhak’s healing abilities must be S-Grade or something.
"Then, are you saying that there’s something else that’s making Kim Jaeha sick?" Lee Haerin asked worriedly. "The kid is so pale, and his body temperature isn’t normal. One second he’s cold, the next he’s warm."
Right?
Kwon Hojun noticed that as well.
But, everytime his skin got burned, a gust of wind would pass him by until the pain disappeared.
I definitely have a ghost attached to me.
"I’m sorry, but even after I used my abilities, I did not find anything wrong with Guide Kim Jaeha’s body," Lee Woonhak said in a remorseful voice while shaking his head. And then the Healer’s eyes glowed while inspecting Kim Jaeha’s body. "No matter how hard I try, I can’t really see anything. I already checked his heart and Core, but I can’t tell what’s wrong."
Lee Haerin and Lee Sarang looked disappointed.
After all, if Lee Woonhak couldn’t find anything wrong with Kim Jaeha, then no one else in this room could.
Was it because Kim Jaeha was a Guide?
Is Esper Lee Woonhak-nim having a hard time checking Kim Jaeha’s condition because the kid is a Guide?
Then...
"Kim Jaeha!"
Kwon Hojun let out a sigh of relief when he saw who had just arrived. "Yuno Hyung!"
***
KI GAYOON leaned against the nearby wall, putting a cinnamon stick in his mouth to stop his urge to smoke.
Lee Woonhak kicked him and the others out of the room.
By "others," he was referring to Lee Haerin, Lee Sarang, and Kwon Hojun (the kid who was acting close to Noh Yuno).
And, yes, only Noh Yuno was left in the room with Lee Woonhak.
Gayoon wanted to be jealous, but he wasn’t that narrow-minded.
I know Woonhak Hyung only asked Noh Yuno to stay because he knows Noh Yuno is a special Guide.
"Oppa, was it Matthew?"
Gayoon turned to Lee Sarang, and he could see how upset she was. "I haven’t heard the story yet, but I’m pretty sure that it was Matthew. According to Woonhak Hyung, the cuts on the kid’s body suggested that he was cut by something sharp— like Matthew’s wind daggers."
Lee Sarang bit her lower lip.
It’s bad if she suddenly goes on a Rampage, so let’s distract her.
"What are you doing here, Lee Sarang?" Gayoon asked, changing the topic. "Did you check on my subordinates?"
Yes, Gayoon’s subordinates were still confined there.
Lee Sarang’s face lit up. "Yes, Oppa. I’ve already returned your subordinates’ memories..."
And then she trailed off.
Gayoon immediately stood straight and walked back to where he left Noh Yuno.
Shit.
Is Noh Yuno about to go on a Rampage?!
Gayoon shouldn’t have left Noh Yuno alone!
***
YUNO couldn’t breathe.
What did those bastards do to Kim Jaeha?
Lee Woonhak said he couldn’t see anything wrong with Kim Jaeha even after using his abilities.
As an E-Class Guide, there was only one thing Yuno could do: check the kid’s heart and Core.
And what he "saw" was making his blood boil.
"What’s wrong, Yuno-ssi?" Lee Woonhak asked nervously. "What did you see in Guide Kim Jaeha’s body?"
"A foreign Core," Yuno said in disbelief, clutching his chest tight. "Kim Jaeha has two Cores— and the other one belongs to an Esper."
