The main reason Ethan wanted to gain power in this world was because of his parents.

With enough power, he could not just protect them but also make them powerful and even increase their lifespans to live a long, peaceful life.

Initially, they were scared by the sudden appearance of these two ’Cultivators’ who jumped out of their shadows; however, they quickly learned from them that they were not attackers but protectors left behind by their son.

As soon as the two Night Demons walked out of the shadows, they knelt and respectfully greeted Ethan.

Although they were his loyal subordinates who would even die if he asked them to die, Ethan was grateful to them for protecting his parents.

He didn’t know what exactly had happened, but from the blood-soaked spots, along with the death aura in the courtyard, Ethan knew at least two people had died in the courtyard today.

The reason his parents were safe and sound was because of Seraphis and Zepharis. So, Ethan thanked them from the bottom of his heart.

"It’s because of the Master that we are still alive and breathing. Compared to what the Master did for us, this is just a small thing."

Both siblings hurriedly replied, saying that they were just doing their duty.

Ethan shook his head before turning to his parents and said, "Father, Mother, take some rest. I will come back after talking to them."

Hearing those words, a cold glint flashed in Ethan’s eyes.

"Of course, before they could reach Sir Garrick, we jumped out of the shadows and easily subdued those Qi Refining Cultivators."

Although they were only Qi-Refining Cultivators, if not for his two Night Demons, his parents, who were just mortals, would have been dead.
