Chapter 93: New Titles, Talent Fragments

Isaac blinked as the screen hovered before him.

Your Constitution and Mana have reached the Stat Limit. You have gained an upgrade to your affected Titles.

Formlock → Extreme Formlock

Mana Resonance → Extreme Mana Resonance

Isaac immediately felt the change.

It was as if someone had swapped out the inner framework of his body and replaced it with something denser, stronger, and more efficient.

Every breath felt more refined, and every movement was more precise.

If he had to fight that Champion-rank assassin again, Isaac was confident the dagger couldn’t pierce his skin.

With his current build, he could probably block the assassin’s blade with his forearm and walk away with only a scratch.

The real change, though, was mana.

He closed his eyes and immediately sensed ’it’.

Dozens of threads of mana danced around him.

He could feel the shape of the room without looking, and everything that the threads touched.

It allowed him to sense the table, the cracks on the floor, and the faint traces of heat where his footsteps had been. It all pulsed inside his awareness like a second heartbeat.

He opened his eyes slowly, and his lips curled into a smile.

"I can detect all mana signature within 100 meters. This is on par with SSS-rank mana detection skill," he muttered. "No... This feels better, and detection is just one of the effect of the title."

His control over ambient mana had improved too.

He held out his hand and focused.

Ambient mana moved toward his palm without resistance.

He directed it toward the nearby table. The wooden surface accepted the flow instantly, glowing with a soft, stable blue sheen.

There were three types of Combat Classes: Mage-type, Warrior-type and Hybrid-type (mix of Mage-type, and Warrior-type)

To control ambient Mana one needed a Mage-type class, and then train for months.

Hybrid Classes would take more time than Mage-type classes, and Warrior-type classes could take over a year to learn the same.

But Isaac could do it already!

He stepped back, laughing under his breath.

"Apex bloodlines are awesome."

Then, just as he was about to explore further, another notification appeared.

You have an Apex-rank Bloodline. You have gained the Descendant of Ancients title.

Isaac’s eyes narrowed.

For a moment, nothing seemed to change. Then he felt a faint nudge in his thoughts.

It was as if a layer of static had been cleaned away. It was not a power-up in the usual sense. His reflexes and muscles remained the same, but his mind?

It felt... clearer.

"What does this title even do?" Isaac murmured. "I guess I’ll have to wait until Alice gets it and see if the Leora explains it to her. She seems to know about Apex-rank bloodlines."

After sharing the bloodline, he raised his hand again.

"Share stats!"

The status screen changed instantly. This time, it showed his stats. His mouth twitched into a wide grin as he watched the numbers rise.

Strength: 62 → 80

Agility: 85 → 118

Constitution: 1000 [100] → 1000 [123]

Spirit Power: 102 → 136

Mana: 1000 [100] → 1000 [132]

The moment the changes settled in, Isaac nearly staggered.

He clenched his fists, feeling the new strength ripple down his arms. It wasn’t brute force alone. His body had become more elastic, and responsive.

He stretched his fingers, moved side to side, and nodded in satisfaction.

His flexibility had improved.

His reaction time had gotten sharper. That made sense—Agility, Spirit Power, and Constitution had all jumped.

It was like upgrading from a high-performance car to something that floated across the ground.

"I crossed 100 in Agility, but didn’t get a title," he muttered. "I guess it will happen at 1000 from now.

"But I wonder... Will it be the original title everyone gets at 100 stat limit, or will it be the upgraded one at 1000 stat?"

Isaac frowned, and hoped he wouldn’t miss the original title.

He was not a fan of missing opportunities if he could help it.

"Focus."

There was still more to share.

"Share skills!"

The screen lit up again.

A cascade of skills poured into view, one after the other. All of them were SSS rank, courtesy of Alice’s bloodline, and Talent.

Isaac scrolled down quickly, absorbing as much as he could.

"This is... insane," he whispered. "With this, I could crush Champion-rank opponents."

His excitement swelled.

His combat power hadn’t doubled—it had quintupled. Even without planning or traps, he could probably take down Level 50 awakeners now.

"I wonder..." His eyes narrowed. "Could I fight an Overlord?"

The thought lingered for a second. Then he shook his head.

"No. I’m strong, sure, but not that strong."

The boost he’d received was massive, yes, but it wasn’t unique to him.

Apex-rank bloodlines probably granted these stats to all their inheritors.

It only felt overpowered because most of the people he’d fought before had human bloodline—the lowest rank bloodline.

"I need to stay grounded."

Still, one thing remained.

"The last thing to share... is Alice’s Talent rank."

Isaac smiled, rubbing his hands together.

"Last time I copied Emily’s Talent, my Genesis Farmer talent went from SSS to SSS+. Let’s see what happens now."

He took a deep breath and gave the command.

"Share Talent Rank!"

The system buzzed again.

Genesis Farmer (SSS+) → Genesis Farmer (SSS+)

Talent Fragment Requirement for next Rank: 1/2

Isaac’s brows furrowed. "Huh?"

He read the message twice.

"So it didn’t go up... but the system shows I’m at 1 out of 2 fragments now." He rubbed his chin, then nodded slowly. "This confirms it. There’s a rank beyond SSS+."

That wasn’t all.

"Since two SSS rank Talent made SSS+ that means I need two SSS+ Talent - mine and someone else’s - to make the upgrade my Talent again, This is why SSS rank Talent is now counted as a ’fragment’ instead of a whole as it’s not enough for the upgrade."

He sat down at the still-glowing table, mind running.

"I see. So it’s like combining parts. Two of the same rank make something new. Two SSS talents made SSS+. And now to go beyond, I need two SSS+ talents, I guess." freёnovelkiss.com

He glanced back at the status screen.

Isaac nodded in satisfaction.

The changes brought by the bloodline and skills of Alice were immense.

Not only felt he stronger, and faster, he also felt his heart pulsing with overflowing vigor. It made him feel refreshed.

His body still bore the aftereffects of the injuries he’d taken from the assassins, but the passive effect of [Heart of the Eternal Sun] was working steadily.

The fatigue he’d felt due to before healing had faded into a manageable dullness.

After checking everything, Isaac left the Soulbind Pendant.

He stood in the quiet of his room, not feeling sleepy. His body was ready to keep going, thanks to the sudden increase in stats.

For a brief moment, he considered picking up one of the books from the shelf and studying just to pass the time.

Then he heard a soft voice.

"Isaac..." Emily murmured his name in her sleep.

She was curled under the blanket, hugging the teddy bear he’d given her tightly. Her hair was messy, and her face was relaxed.

Isaac smiled a little and walked over.

He quietly laid down beside her, careful not to wake her up. She didn’t stir.

Within minutes, he closed his eyes too, and let the stillness of the night take him.

He woke up at 5:30 AM sharp, his internal clock working as precisely as always.

Something warm pressed against his side.

He glanced down and noticed Emily had rolled over in her sleep. The teddy bear had been pushed away to the edge of the bed. Now she was hugging him instead.

Isaac lay still for a moment, then gently shifted his weight.

He moved slowly, making sure not to disturb her. Once free, he stood and pulled the blanket up over her again.

Outside, the sky was still dim.

He stepped out of the house, letting the door shut quietly behind him.

The next second, Leora appeared beside him without a sound.

But this time, he sensed it, even if barely.

There had been a faint ripple in the mana around him when she arrived. That small pulse... he wouldn’t have noticed it before.

’That was thanks to Extreme Mana Resonance,’ he thought. ’This means, I won’t be taken out by ambushes at least.’

Still, he hadn’t sensed her leaving the room. Or waking up.

’Is it the difference in strength, or does she have a skill that conceals her presence?’

He didn’t voice any of those thoughts aloud.

Instead, he focused on the calm of the morning air and the slight breeze moving across the open fields.

Then he noticed her looking at him.

"Is there something you want to say?" he asked.

Leora studied him a little longer before replying. "Did your bloodline awaken?"

Isaac didn’t respond immediately.

"You seem... more attractive, or perhaps charismatic would be a better term. Your movements are smoother, precise, and more graceful," she added. "That’s the effect of the apex species title."
