First Immortal of the Sword-Chapter 2098 - Come Fight Me
Chapter 2098 - Come Fight Me
To an extent, the Ancient God Domain was far more dangerous than the present-day God Domain!
With his current strength, Su Yi couldn’t really defeat Greater Gods yet, let alone duke it out with Master Gods.
It would have been no exaggeration to say that if an existence of that level targeted him, he’d be absolutely doomed.
Furthermore, Su Yi dared say with certainty that if he passed through the portal to the Ancient God Domain, he’d find numerous powerful experts waiting for him!
This was the source of the pressure he felt.
But Su Yi wasn’t worried about anything.
During his exploration of the Path of the Ancient Gods, he could rely on the Epoch Spark to neutralize most dangers and potential crises.
That was true in the City of the Beginning, and in the Deification Star Sea, too.
No matter how much the Ancient God Domain had changed, Su Yi trusted that, so long as he had the Epoch Spark, he’d be able to respond to any crisis he encountered!
“Do you really plan to let us go?” asked Qin Futao. It seemed he dared not believe that Su Yi would let them leave so easily.
“Don’t tell me you’d rather stay here?” Su Yi asked back.
Qin Futao looked stricken, and he hurriedly shook his head.
“Then hurry up and leave,” Su Yi said with a wave.
Qin Futao and the middle-aged man in black robes felt as if they’d received an imperial pardon. They hurriedly shot through space and toward that celestial vortex. In the blink of an eye, both of them had vanished.
“I’ve already returned you your freedom. You’re free to leave whenever you please,” said Su Yi. He looked at the divine children.
Many of the divine children hesitated, then turned and set off. They didn’t go through the portal to the Ancient God Domain. Instead, they returned to the Deification Star Sea to search for a chance at divinity.
From their perspective, achieving divinity took precedence!
Buddhist Son Lian Sheng suddenly took a step forward and clasped his palms together. “Thank you for sparing my life.”
Su Yi smiled. “To the best of my knowledge, no one has ever combined the sutras of the past, present, and future before. I hope... you can manage it.”
Lian Sheng froze, a bit startled. His gaze was suddenly complicated. What kind of courage and spirit does it take to say that to your enemy’s closed-door disciple?
After a moment’s silence, Lian Sheng let out a deep sigh.
That monk was obviously completely convinced, thought Feng Wuji.
He was inwardly quite calm. Lian Sheng’s words resonated with him.
Living in the same era as Su Yi was fortunate in that they could witness Su Yi’s all-encompassing, dazzling brilliance with their own eyes.
But it was also tragic, as those of the same cultivation as him were doomed to have their brilliance completely obscured. All of them dimmed by comparison!
Lian Sheng was one of Heaven’s Chosen, but as mighty as he was, he could only sigh over his own inferiority!
“Why haven’t you left?” Su Yi glanced at Feng Wuji. He was now the only divine son still here.
Feng Wuji said solemnly, “Senior Su, you granted this junior a chance at divinity, and there’s no longer any need to risk myself hunting for good fortune. I thought I might instead stay by your side. It would be absolutely wonderful if I could assist you.”
“I don’t need the help,” said Su Yi. He casually found a place to sit down, as he planned to cultivate quietly for a while before entering the Ancient God Domain.
Feng Wuji froze, a bit stunned, and obviously disappointed. He sighed. “It seems I’m not blessed enough by fortune to serve you.”
With that, he slipped that bottle of Nine Profundities Heaven-Stealing Pulls out of his sleeves and proffered it to Su Yi. “No matter what, please accept these pills. Take them as a token of this junior’s sincerity. My only hope is that they can assist you.”
Su Yi couldn’t help but find this amusing. He’s sure doing everything he can to flatter me.
He didn’t refuse the pills. After putting them away, he said, “Is there anything I can help you with?”
Feng Wuji hurriedly shook his head. “I’m immensely honored that you’d accept the pills I offered you, Senior. How could I possibly ask for anything else?”
Su Yi laughed. “Are you hoping for an even greater reward in the future?”
Feng Wuji scratched his head, then grinned. “No. This junior just hopes to establish a positive karmic tie with you, Senior.”
Su Yi inclined his head. “Very well. I accept this karma.”
Feng Wuji was instantly overcome with delight. He solemnly bowed to Su Yi. “This junior is endlessly grateful! If there’s ever anything I can do for you, just say the word! I won’t refuse, even if it means casting myself into the flames or dying ten thousand deaths!”
Before long, Feng Wuji bade farewell and left.
Su Yi watched him leave. He couldn’t help but be rueful. To think that the ol’ Rahu Yao Ancestor would produce a descendant like him. Going forward, no matter what kind of disaster he faces, Feng Wuji will ensure their clan’s lineage lives on.
Su Yi shook his head, then gave the matter no further thought. He then turned his attention to the trophies the little monkey had gathered.
Before long, even Su Yi was unwittingly stunned. This was a terrifying abundance of wealth!
First, there were almost thirty Godheads. The slain gods had left them behind.
That aside, there was a mountain of divine treasures, medicines, and materials. This was the most startling collection of trophies Su Yi had acquired since leaving the Immortal Realm.
In the end, Su Yi decided to toss the Godheads to the Epoch Spark. The rest of the treasures, he split down the middle. Half, he kept for himself. The other half, he gave to the little monkey.
The little monkey clutched its head and jumped for joy. It could see it already: once it had finished consuming all these treasures brimming with shocking divinity, it’d undergo a transformation akin to rebirth!
Su Yi wasn’t idle either. He’d begun his cultivation.
Now that he’d stepped into the Hidden Summit Realm, he was like a bottomless pit. He needed an ocean of divine cultivation resources to sustain his cultivation.
Now, he no longer needed to worry about it.
The ferry crossing quickly regained its usual tranquility. It was empty and all but deserted.
......
Time slipped by. Soon, two months had passed.
Boom!
The power of the Grand Dao rumbled and boomed around Su Yi, like chaos power permeating the air and collapsing the space around it.
It suddenly seemed as if he’d broken through some kind of bottleneck. His aura rapidly soared!
In the end, that surging chaos radiance flowed around him, reflecting a mysterious vision of the cycle of reincarnation behind him. It was like a deep, unfathomable abyss!
The surrounding void quivered, and an invisible, terrifying aura emanated from Su Yi’s body.
A rain of chaos scattered, reflecting an indistinct but unbelievable vision of ten thousand illusory worlds plunged into the endless cycle of reincarnation. The cycle continued in perpetuity, grinding all Daos to nothingness until, ultimately, everything returned to the primordial chaos from whence it came...
But then, power overflowed within the chaos and suddenly exploded, giving rise to entirely new worlds, new Daos, and new Laws....
Destruction and rebirth alternated amidst the cycle of reincarnation. The ten thousand Daos of heaven waned and flourished amidst it all.
These strange phenomena were incomparably illusory and indistinct, but when they appeared reflected behind Su Yi, they emanated a heart-palpitating, taboo aura!
But then, Su Yi shook, and all of these strange phenomena vanished without a trace. Even his aura withdrew, as if lying dormant.
It was then that the still-seated Su Yi silently opened his eyes.
He’d broken through! He hadn’t just reached the mid-stage Hidden Summit Realm; he’d made considerable progress within it, too.
Most wondrous of all, even his mastery of his Laws of the Grand Dao had transformed rapidly over the past two months!
There was no concealing Su Yi’s delight. With my current cultivation base, I might not be able to defeat a Greater God, but I’m sure I could at least contend with one!
Back then, Li Fuyou had merely managed to kill a Lesser God as a Great Profound Stage cultivator.
Su Yi, however, had yet to achieve divinity, but he could still contend with Greater Gods!
The Hidden Summit Realm is too wondrous for words, and I’m not that far from reaching the peak of the realm. Perhaps I’ll even be able to attempt to achieve divinity after overcoming the Nine Great Celestial Trials!
He could disregard just about everything in this world, except for his cultivation. It had long since become a core part of him!
Nothing could compare to the delight his cultivation brought him; the rest wasn’t even worth mentioning.
Right, I should check on the Epoch Spark. Something occurred to Su Yi, and he looked inward.
The Epoch Spark hovered within the chaos, casting an inscrutable, mysterious rain of light.
Over the past two months, the Epoch Spark had refined almost thirty Godheads, and it really had changed. There were even hints of a mysterious, nascent plane growing within it!
Chaos gives rise to heaven, earth, and everything in between. That’s obviously a new epoch civilization growing within the Epoch Spark!
Su Yi’s heart shook. He still couldn’t sense the true mystery behind the Epoch Spark’s transformations, but he had a powerful premonition that when he achieved divinity, the Epoch Spark would sprout like a seed and fuse fully with his cultivation base!
When the time came, its mysteries and power would become a true part of his cultivation base.
The mere thought of it was enough to fill Su Yi’s heart with anticipation.
“Roar——!”
Suddenly, a thunderous roar resounded like thunder in the distance, shaking heaven and earth. A ferocious, explosive aura followed, sweeping over the entire area.
Su Yi looked over. Despite himself, he was startled.
A one-hundred-thousand-foot figure stood in the air, a waterfall of chaos pouring down its fur. Its golden eyes blazed like twin suns, and it had three heads and six arms, each as thick as a mountain range rising out of the earth.
Every breath was like a raging storm sweeping through the sky, bringing with it fierce, baleful winds.
It was the little monkey!
Except that now, it was more like an unparalleled yao god of the ancient past, proud, unfettered, and contemptuous, its ferocity sweeping throughout the nine heavens and the ten earths!
Most shocking of all, its four additional arms and two additional heads were no longer illusory. They were now concentrated and tangible!
The little imp’s growing far faster than I am... Su Yi sighed to himself. When the monkey was born in the Immortal Realm’s Epoch Battlefield, it was only about a foot tall, and entirely unassuming, with dull, gray fur.
But look at it now! The little guy keeps breaking through, transforming, and awakening its innate bloodline talents. It hasn’t just learned to manifest three heads and six arms. It’s even learned the Magic of Cosmic Imitation!
Judging by its imposing aura, it’s not at all weaker than a Fortune Realm Greater God! That’s almost perverse.
This just proves how extraordinary a natural divinity born of the chaos is.
Suddenly, something occurred to Su Yi. He rose, then leaped into the air and charged at the distant monkey. “Dirty monkey, come on and fight me!”
