Farm Girl's Manor-Chapter 314: Will You Miss Me (1)_1
Chapter 314: Chapter 314: Will You Miss Me (1)_1
Mo Yan watched Little Fur Ball, who was hanging on Xiao Ruiyuan’s arm and relentlessly tearing at his sleeve, with twitching eyes and felt incredibly embarrassed. She pressed against her throbbing temple and whispered sternly, "Little Fur Ball, enough is enough!"
Little Fur Ball, oh no, Mao Tuan, hearing its owner’s voice, glanced at her with its round eyes. It hesitated briefly before resuming tearing at the sleeve even more fiercely, determined not to stop until it had ripped the sleeve off.
Seeing that it wouldn’t obey, Mo Yan stomped her foot and rushed over, trying to pull it off by twisting its ear. However, this little rascal loosened its mouth but its sharp claws were deeply hooked into the fabric, refusing to retract them.
Whenever Mo Yan applied a bit more force, it would deliberately pretend to be in pain, wailing pitifully one cry after another, making it impossible for her to bear using more force.
Meeting Xiao Ruiyuan’s seemingly amused gaze, Mo Yan covered her face, wishing she could throw this young but bad-tempered creature far, far away.
Wasn’t it just that he was picked up by the scruff last time he came over? This little guy actually held a grudge until now, still clinging to the person’s sleeve. Did it have to be so spiteful?
Seeing that force wasn’t working, Mo Yan directly resorted to threats, "Let go of your claws right now, or forget about having roast pig trotters tonight!"
At the mention of roast pig trotters, Mao Tuan’s eyes swiveled. It made a frantic call and eventually retracted its claws unwillingly, yet insisted on Mo Yan holding it in her arms.
Mo Yan was becoming increasingly speechless with this clingy creature. She loosened her grip and dumped it on the ground.
Mao Tuan was ready, and turned its body, landing on all fours. Showing its teeth in a snarl at Mo Yan, it clearly disliked being treated so roughly. It paid no mind to whether she was willing or not, and stretched out its paws to climb up her trousers.
Mo Yan looked up at the sky, regretting for the ten-thousandth time that she had adopted such an annoying little demon. Yet, she had to bend down and pick it up again, otherwise it would tear down her trousers again.
But just as her hand touched it, a large hand with distinct knuckles suddenly reached out, brushing the back of her hand as it went straight for Mao Tuan’s nape.
Mo Yan withdrew her hand as if shocked by electricity, and turned to look at Xiao Ruiyuan, only to see him looking nonchalant, as though the touch was accidental. She was too focused on looking at his face and failed to notice that the tips of his ears had turned red.
The soft flesh at the back of the neck was Mao Tuan’s weak spot. With such a grab, Mao Tuan instantly lost its ability to resist. It swung its limbs in anger towards the ’bad person’ holding it and tried to hook its claws into his clothes to give him a good scratch.
Xiao Ruiyuan, unbothered by the attempts of the undeveloped tiger cub, simply picked it up by the nape and walked to the door. He then loosened his grip and threw it outside, slamming the door shut with a bang and ignoring the little creature’s howls.
The immature howling mixed with the piercing sound of scratching at the door gave Mo Yan a headache.
Mao Tuan now was like a seven or eight-year-old brat, no longer the obedient and cute creature it once was. At the slightest displeasure, it would cause trouble; at times biting furniture and at worst, venting its anger on Da Huang and the other livestock. It was despised by both people and dogs alike, and Mo Yan wished she could throw it far away. Only Dabai could handle it.
Without the troublemaker, Xiao Ruiyuan finally had the chance to speak properly with the girl he fancied. Seeing her distressed expression softened his heart, and even his stern expression grew warmer.
"Just leave it to Little Flower and Dabai, it’s bound to return to the wild eventually," he suggested.
The deep and magnetic voice captured all of Mo Yan’s attention. She was surprised that he would take the initiative to talk about Mao Tuan, and after a moment of shock, she smiled and said, "It’s only a few months old, and it’s the middle of winter now. I plan to release it back into the wild next spring!"
