Alex quickly devours his breakfast and continues to write on his letter, finally finishing it—the letter just a third of a page long.

“There, that sounds about right. What do you say?” Alex asks Rishi as he throws the letter to him.

“Let me see,” Rishi glances over the letter, needing just mere seconds to finish. “So, you’re demanding our good old friend Mr. M, to hand over a certain item. A simple tool to create an illusion, in the form of a controllable copy of the one using it, allowing the user to change small details as well? Seems like a pretty effective way to tackle the first task. Your wording is rather… short. However, I think it’s okay. That guy hasn’t returned a single Galleon and shouldn’t decline. Illusions like this are nothing much, especially compared to the illusion turning all students invisible and making the castle appear as just old ruins.”

“Wait… first task?!” Harry suddenly asks.

Rishi, ignoring Harry’s question, goes on: “That alone won’t be enough, however.”

“I’ve got one more idea! It depends partly on me and Tereza, though. We both need to teach Harry until the task, of course, only if he agrees with it. Anyway, keep the letter, you are going to the castle, right? Please send an owl to deliver it,” Alex responds.

Rishi nods silently.

“Agree with what?!” Harry asks, quite confused.

“How you’ll pass the first task. Do you want a flashy way to beat the dragon in a fight, or do you want to do the boring and smart thing and just get the task done and pass?”

“A dragon?! You can’t be serious?! How do you even know?!” Harry questions him.

“It’s called cheating, Harry. Most people do it. I guess Hagrid would have told you sooner or later as well, but it’s our task to fight the corruption in the Forest. Since we scouted the area, we obviously know what’s going on. The first task will be a contest where you have to face dragons. I don’t know much of the details, but I’m pretty sure it’s not a straight-up fight. Most likely, you need to reach a certain place, grab a special item, or do some other task,” Alex says, trying to make it appear as if he doesn’t know all of the tasks already.

“Won’t we get in trouble if only I know?!” Harry asks, slightly confused.

“Don’t worry, Harry. The headmasters will make sure to cheat and tell their champions as well,” Tereza explains.

“So, how do you want to do it?” Alex asks, curious if Harry is already confident enough to take a risk, like his father without a doubt would have done.

“I don’t want to defeat the dragon; that would be suicidal!” Harry cries out.

“I kind of agree with you there. No need to risk it. I hoped you didn’t want to outright defeat it, to be honest. If you want to do it the most efficiently, I’ve got you covered! Don’t worry about it. You need to learn a couple of spells, just to make sure nothing goes wrong, and of course, you need to learn about Nen, especially one ability, which Jewel specializes in!” Alex says.

“Where is Jewel by the way? I don’t see her anywhere,” Harry suddenly notices, staring at Alex’s empty head, seeing his brown medium long hair for the first time.

“You sure? How about you check your left arm,” Menchi says while bringing in more pancakes.

“My left hand? I’m holding my fork in my le—” Harry suddenly panics as he feels something on his left wrist, and Jewel suddenly appears on the table, right next to his left hand, making Harry fall backward, about to fall off his chair. Alex is just fast enough to steady his chair.

“Hehe, careful there, don’t fall down,” he says.

“She can turn invisible, almost like my Cloak of Invisibility! So, should I use it?!” Harry questions.

“No… never show that cloak to anyone. It could bring disaster on you. Remember the scumbags who wanted to steal it for themselves? There’s a reason behind it. Even I am tempted to knock you out and grab it for myself. Let’s just say it’s very expensive and very useful, not to mention unique,” Alex explains.

“I see. So, I should learn that ability Jewel just used? Is that Nen as well?” Harry asks.

This chapter is updat𝓮d by freēnovelkiss.com.

“Zetsu, also meaning to suppress,” Menchi states before adding: “One of the easiest and most basic abilities, something you can learn relatively quickly. If you have decent talent, it should be possible to learn it before the first task. We have 10 days, after all.”

“In addition to that, Tereza, your part will be to teach Harry two spells,” Alex says.

“Hehe, Disillusionment Charm. No problem. What’s the second one?”

“Something basic, just in case our plan doesn’t work, enabling Harry to grab something from a distance. However, it needs to be something indirect, so it will work even if the object itself is protected against certain spells,” Alex says, realizing Tereza most likely knows what he’s aiming for.

“Hehe, I’ve got an idea. How about Morbiliarbus? It’s a basic and relatively easy to cast spell, that can make a wooden object float and allows you to control it. We could just prepare a wooden hand or something similar, using it to grab anything you want,” Tereza says, making even Rishi smile in satisfaction.

“That sounds like a very basic, but viable strategy to me. Even if things don’t work out, you’ve got a backup plan,” he says, visibly impressed. “My own plan would have been more complicated. Let’s go with yours.”

Harry just stares at his new ‘teachers’ for a while, visibly confused but feeling strangely assured.

“Don’t worry, Harry. We know about the badges and everyone shunning you. Forget those idiots for now. Nobody will bother you here, and you have time to focus on yourself for once and don’t have to constantly deal with others, all having their own plans for you!” Tereza says, looking quite angry.

Tereza sure is a die-hard Harry Potter fan. I think she’s quite happy with this situation.

Alex takes a look and sees an article by Rita Skeeter in the Daily Prophet, that he recently bought a subscription for. The article openly attacks Dumbledore and reveals a few rumors he taught her about his past with Grindelwald.

Hehe, this is just the beginning. It’s just rumors and little tidbits for now. Enjoy the next month; it will quickly get juicier and juicier. Tournament? Harry Potter? Who cares about that! After Rita is done, these will just be side stories.

“Now, Harry, let’s go outside. Thankfully, the weather is good today. We’ll start with some simple breathing and visualization exercises,” Alex says, standing up and walking toward the door. Harry quickly follows behind with Menchi.

Are you coming as well, Jewel?

Dearest Soulmate, Your Princess Jewel wants to focus on her own training today. She’ll join you at a later stage in young Harry’s training.

Have fun, but don’t overdo it, or I’ll worry, okay?

❤️

“Ever the softie, huh? It’s a good idea,” Menchi says, guessing Alex’s answer from his facial expression as they walk out of the house, moving towards an isolated area with a few lush trees, stones, and a beautiful, serene meadow.

Alex takes a few blankets out of his inventory and spreads them on the grass allowing the group to sit down comfortably.

“Now… sit down, close your eyes. Forget all your problems; you won’t be going to school for a while. Concentrate on calming down, relaxing. Focus on the wind, the birds in the distance, the smell of the trees and the grass,” Alex says, and Harry quickly does as he’s told.

Fifteen minutes later, when Alex judges Harry to be in a calm state, he goes on: “Imagine your body. Focus on your feet, your legs, your body, your arms, your head. Imagine that every part of your body is surrounded by a soft aura, like invisible clothing. It flows smoothly and surrounds your body and feels amazing and calm.”

Another fifteen minutes pass, and Alex takes a step further. “Now, Harry, answer me this: What would you do when your Aura is suddenly disrupted and violently flows outwards of your body?”

“Calm it down, return it to the previous state,” he says.

“Correct!” Alex answers with a bright smile.

“Now, do you feel you’re in a calm state and could focus on calming down?” he asks.

Harry thinks for a minute, his face looking a bit bothered, but he quickly recovers and finally answers, “Yes, now I am.”

Alex stands up and looks at Menchi, who nods at him, her expression satisfied.

He then slowly stands behind Harry, focuses his Aura on his right hand, and carefully pushes it into Harry’s back, as gently as he possibly can. His Nen Prodigy lvl 4 enables him to do that even more effortlessly than he anticipated.

Harry suddenly glows, and his Aura violently awakens, shooting out of his body. All his aura pores open at the same time.

Harry looks at his hands, and the whole world spins around him.

He is about to panic, when Alex's loud voice rings in his ears.

“Calm down, Harry. Remember the exercise we just did. Calm down. Focus on your breathing; don’t panic. Imagine the Aura now violently shooting out of your body, calmly surrounding your body instead. Imagine shaping it into a bubble or cloak around you.”

Harry closes his eyes and does as he’s told. It takes him around thirty minutes to finally control his Aura, his body wet with sweat, visibly tired.

“Good job!” Alex finally says. “Now, keep up that feeling. Don’t let your Aura leak out of your body. Now, finally, concentrate on your body. It has thousands of small pores producing the Aura you are now surrounding yourself with. Try to close them by intently focusing on them. Imagine turning it off, returning your body to how it was when you woke up.”

It takes Harry around another twenty minutes to finally close his Aura nodes, returning back to his default state, with only minor Aura leakage.

Menchi claps. “Good job! You did quite well,” she says.

“Yeah, the hardest part is already done, Harry. Congratulations,” Alex adds.

Harry, breathing heavily and finally relaxing, asks, completely drenched in sweat: “What now?”

“Take a shower, and then… it’s time for theory… Nen theory!” Alex says, suppressing his laughter.

Menchi laughs: “That’s the boring part. Anyway, good job. I’ll be late anyway, but I’d better hurry back to Sev before he gets angry. It’s Saturday, but that guy doesn’t know rest.”

She quickly gives Alex a kiss, making him blush a little, and jogs toward the castle.

We’ve been more or less focusing on the mission and our own tasks. I’ve grown strangely conscious about Menchi and Tereza… especially with that little Princess constantly around me. I pray that that deal and girls’ night is really what I’m hoping it is… I can’t believe it… could it be… my own…

“Shall we go?” Harry suddenly rips Alex back to planet Earth.

“Sure, let’s go!” he says with a smile, putting his arm around Harry’s shoulders. Harry smiles for the first time since his forced participation in the tournament.
