Chapter 307: Chapter 306: Tycoon or rich bastard

"Nothing," Shentu Mingye pulled his gaze away from her.

It was passed midnight yet there were still people walking around. The lives of common people was really different. Sanya sat on the bench sipping boba milk tea.

"How old did you say you were?" She asked casually and checked the time. It was almost time to send him home.

"I’m nineteen," he replied.

Sanya almost choked on her boba milk tea upon hearing that.

"You’re nineteen years old!!!?" She looked him up and down with eyes huge as saucers.

"Yes, why?" He was confused. Why the big reaction?

"I thought you were in your early twenties! No wonder you cry so easily! You’re a baby!"

"I’m not. Babies are five or ten years old. I’m older than that," he refuted her without arguing.

"Then how old are you?" He asked her.

She held up two fingers on one hand, five fingers on the other.

Two plus five is seven, right?

"Twenty seven?" Shentu Mingye said.

Sanya turned to him with a murderous look. "Am I that old? Twenty five! Two fingers means twenty, do you get it?!"

Shentu Mingye nodded.

"Good to know that your dumb brain is a quick learner," she said.

The two sat there in silence. The only sound came from the people walking the streets and hawkers calling out.

"Do you want to return to Skyward Peak Residence? Or your house?" She asked after some time.

"I don’t want to go back at all," Shentu Mingye admitted.

"You need a place to sleep. Don’t tell me that you planned on sleeping on the bench tonight?"

"How about I stay at your place?"

"What!? My place? Why?"

"It’s much better. I don’t want to see any of my brothers," Shentu Mingye said.

"Fine, alright," she groaned.

She took him to her apartment and took out a spare quilt and toothbrush from the cupboard.

"Use these," she tossed to him. Shentu Mingye caught the items perfectly.

"I’m going to sleep. Don’t forget to turn off the lights and lock the door," Sanya yawned and threw herself down on the bed.

"Wait, then where’s my bed?" Shentu Mingye looked around the apartment, one side messy with fashion magazines strewn across, the other side was even worst!

Rubbish and clothes scattered the floor, empty cups of instant noodles were across the table and a yoga mat laid on the floor, half opened.

"Couch!" Sanya shouted from her room.

"Okay.....?" Shentu Mingye looked at the rubbish and then back to the couch. How did she expect him to sleep here?

Maybe this was a bad idea. He didn’t expect Sanya to live in such a space. For the next 40 minutes, he spent the time cleaning and sorting everything out. He even cleaned up at Qin Zhuzhu’s side.

They are girls yet they lived as if they were hobos. What did Sanya used to do before she worked for her uncle? Shentu Mingye wondered.

This girl was quite strong, rode motorbikes, had a foul mouth that shoots out colourful languages, and enjoys beating people up. All these were traits of those people who joined gangs and Mafia.

He made himself comfortable on the couch, a pillow tucked under his head and pulled the blanket over hours torso.

The next day.

"Oh shit! I’m late for work!"

Shentu Mingye was awoken by the loud noise of a girl screaming. He couldn’t go back to sleep because the next moment he heard feet rushing back and forth.

"Yo, feeling better? Go make yourself some breakfast," she said, kicking him in the calf before exiting the apartment.

"What?" He opened her fridge and found that she didn’t have a single fresh ingredient in it! There was some yoghurt but it was expired!

This was insane. Don’t tell me that this crazy girl survive on instant noodles? He knitted his brows and looked at the direction of her room.

In the end, Shentu Mingye ordered some takeaway as his breakfast.

Sanya met with Qin Zhuzhu and Shentu Jing during lunch break.

"How’s Mingye?" Shentu Jing asked. Although he had a straight face on, it was obvious that he still cared for his little brother.

"Doing fine, I guess? Anyway, what happened? I don’t think it’s a normal brotherly fight. He looks so... I don’t know.... Lost and hopeless?" Sanya questioned Shentu Jing.

"It’s better if you don’t know anything," Shentu Jing replied.

"Uh?" Sanya was getting more and more confused.

"Why don’t you talk to Shentu Chu? He’s the eldest among you all," Sanya asked. Shentu Jing was silent. fгeewebnovёl.com

"I’ll go talk to Shentu Chu. Maybe he can help," Qin Zhuzhu got up from her chair to leave but a hand held her back.

Qin Zhuzhu’s eyes flitted to the strong hand holding her wrist, preventing her from leaving.

She shot Shentu Jing a questioning look.

When Shentu Jing heard that she was going to look for Shentu Chu, the conversation from yesterday with Shentu Chu came to his mind.

"No, you cannot go," he said.

"Why?" Qin Zhuzhu noticed something in his eyes and tone. What was it? Why did it seemed like he was... was afraid?

"There is no why. I won’t let you go. I’ll go," Shentu Jing pulled his gaze away from her and released her wrist.

Qin Zhuzhu stared at his side profile for a few seconds before replying, "Okay,"

Although Sanya was an airhead at times, she could still understand that something was off. This wasn’t a simple conflict between brothers. Why did she feel like saying sorry wasn’t going to fix anything between them?

"I need to get back to work," Qin Zhuzhu walked off and disappeared from sight.

Sanya watched Qin Zhuzhu strode off, sensing that she was unhappy but keeping it to herself.

"Shentu Jing, you better treat my XiaoZhu well. If not, I’ll take a chainsaw and hack you. I don’t care if you’re some tycoon or rich bastard, I only care whether you’ll protect her or not, make her happy or not, love her or not. Do you get it?!" Sanya slammed the table.
