Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 250 - 249: The Shentus and the Qins
Chapter 250: Chapter 249: The Shentus and the Qins
Old Master Shentu turned around, finding that youthful voice familiar.
"Grandpa! It’s really you!" Qin Zhuzhu ran excitedly to the old man.
"Eh? XiaoZhu, I didn’t expect to see you here, little girl. How have you been? Is everything going well?" Old master Shentu was pleased to see her. His old eyes seemed to brighten instantly.
His eyes widened as he scanned the girl who looked like a warrior and laughed.
"Everything’s fine. Grandpa, you looked tired. Are you okay?" Qin Zhuzhu’s eyes were filled with concern.
"I’m okay. Just didn’t get much sleep. What is this?" He pointed to her costume.
"Grandpa," the girl stood before him. "I’m an assassin,"
"Assassin?!" Old master Shentu was taken aback.
"Yes! I go around doing tasks for people!" She joked, showing her long ancient looking sword to him. "Grandpa, do you want to try? You can dress up as a celestial immortal or deity,"
"Really? Isn’t this thing for young people?"
"No, anyone can. No one is never too old to start something new! Come, let help you dress up!" The girl pulled the old man and took him to the shop.
"Grandpa, what do you want to dress up as? Earth deity? Jade emperor?"
"Uh.. anything is fine," seeing the thousands of costume on the racks, old master Shentu was lost. So many styles. What if they didn’t fit him?
"How about this one?" She picked out a dark blue hanfu after going through the entire rack.
"Okay, okay!" The old man readily agreed.
He was dressed up as a swordsman instead of an old character, his grey hair was covered by a black wig. Old Master Shentu was dressed in a dark blue hanfu, a whip hanging on one side, a cape strewn over his shoulders. He had an air of a chivalrous warrior.
"Grandpa! You look 20 years younger!"
"Really?" Old master Shentu looked at himself in the mirror and laughed.
"Yes, yes! Grandpa is old but handsome! Let’s go conquer Jianghu!" Qin Zhuzhu snapped photos of old master Shentu and her together, in all types of poses. She taught the old man what to do, how to hold the sword and pretend to drink wine.
They even enacted fighting scenes from famous novels such as the Legend of Condor Heroes, Smiling Proud Wanderer and Demi Gods and Semi Devils.
Old Master Shentu was eager to learn with her. The two looked like a pair of father and daughter instead.
"Grandpa, look here!" She snapped a photo of him putting his leg up on a fake rock, holding a pot of wine.
Usually, Old Master Shentu didn’t like to do these activities. But with her, he felt like he had been injected with adrenaline, forgetting all about his worries, and feeling like he was really twenty years younger!
"XiaoZhu," Old Master Shentu sighed, seated across her on a prop rock. "Heavens is vast, so is this earth, but my heart lays between neither..." The old man recited a poem.
So old master Shentu was suffering from missing his grandson? Qin Zhuzhu fidgetted with her fingers, unsure whether to tell him or not. In the end, she decided not to.
Since this was Shentu Jing’s decision, then she would respect it. Unknowingly, she had become close to old master Shentu.
"Grandpa, did you know that our loved ones are there?" She pointed at the sky.
"Where? Heaven?" The old man asked.
"No, in the stars! At night when the moon comes out, there’ll be many stars. Those stars are alive and shining. Maybe the one you’re missing is the brightest star in the sky," Qin Zhuzhu said cheerfully.
"The brightest star?" Old master Shentu looked at the sky. It wasn’t dark yet, but he could imagine a sky full of stars. He never thought of such a thing. Hearing the girl say it, a sense of comfort washed over him.
"Hm... The brightest star will become even brighter when it sees the one it has been looking for! Grandpa, who knows? Maybe tonight it’ll shine brighter!"
The two chatted and talked about many things. Qin Zhuzhu took the chance to ask about her grandfather and old master Shentu.
"We used to be college mates. Your grandfather was very ambitious when he was young, full of spirit and passion. We became interns in a company and worked on projects together. Then, we decided to start our own business. In the beginning, we create a company together,"
"A company together?!" Qin Zhuzhu was stunned. Then where was the that company now?
"But later, that company was later renamed to the Qin Group. I went on to establish the Shentu Group. Because of a misunderstanding that was later cleared, we separated and went our on ways. We never talked of visited each other," Old master Shentu sighed.
"Do you know my father, Qin Huaici?"
"Huh? Of course. Why do you ask?" freёwebnoѵel.com
Qin Zhuzhu shook her head. "I’m just curious. He left the Qin family when in they were trouble. He seemed to hate..... The Shentu family. I don’t know why...."
"What’s there to hate? Jealousy," the old man simply said. But when speaking of Qin Huaici, the old man’s eyes became angry.
Jealousy.... Until now, she still could remember how agitated Qin Huaici looked when he mentioned the Shentu family.
She knew that it was more than that.
Even old master Shentu wasn’t telling her. Qin Zhuzhu began to get more and more curious.
What was the relationship between her grandfather and old master Shentu. And what misunderstanding? How was she going to figure this out if there was no one who was willing to tell her?
Changing topics, Qin Zhuzhu started to ask him about his favourite foods and pastime.
Old master Shentu felt more comfortable after switching topics.
From afar, Shentu Jing watched his grandfather’s smiling face, a hint of melancholy in his eyes.
"Grandpa, I’m sorry. I’ll definitely make it up to you," he mumbled.
When Shentu Ling returned with a bag of food, she stopped in her tracks.
Laughter resounded in her ears.
For the first time ever since Shentu Jing left, she heard grandpa laughed.
