Fake Marriage To The Richest Tycoon-Chapter 216: The ghost Shentu Jing
Chapter 216: Chapter 216: The ghost Shentu Jing
What kind of news were these? What were they saying? Qin Zhuzhu didn’t know how things had gotten out of hand during the time they were in Europe.
"Don’t you need to go back?" She watched Shentu Jing off his screen and tucked the phone away.
"No," Shentu Jing glanced at his little Pearl.
"But your company seemed to be in terrible trouble. Aren’t you afraid?"
"Are you chasing me off?"
"Are you afraid of trouble?" Qin Zhuzhu smiled.
He stared down at her beautiful eyes.
Shentu Jing could never win her in an arguement. They would go round and round in circles, passing the buck or fighting with swords until they were tired.
"I have my ways to deal with it," Shentu Jing simply said before he went upstairs.
At the train station.
Qin Zhuzhu wanted to return to her old Qin mansion to take a look. Before she crashed the wedding and fulfill her promise, she wanted to know more about the Qin family.
She grew up in the old mansion but she didn’t have much memories there. Somehow, she always felt like something was missing.
Reviving her grandpa’s company was her ultimate goal but now she had another. That was to search for her missing memories and whatever secrets Ning Ning was talking about.
Whether Ning Ning was lying to her or not, Qin Zhuzhu found it suspicious. Shentu Jing had insisted on going with her to the old Qin mansion.
"Two people is better than one. Besides, I can protect you," he said.
"Fine," Qin Zhuzhu didn’t argue with him.
Liu Mo, the only witness to that accident seven years ago, was the last person to visit the Qin mansion. What connections did he had?
They walked across the lawn of the old Qin mansion. The long weeds swayed in the light breeze, a half bald tree stood in the corner.
Hung at the entrance were old lanterns for the Lunar New Year. Two Qilin statues guarded each side of the large double doors as if they were protectors of the house.
Qin Zhuzhu lazily brush her fingertips across a Qilin statue.
"When I was young, I used to climb and sit on them, riding them like horses," the girl’s eyes held a melancholy look as she spoke of her past.
"Grandpa would always accompany me while grandma would scold me to come down. Such memories," Qin Zhuzhu laughed softly, a sad laughter it was.
"Let’s go," Shentu Jing put a hand on the girl’s shoulder.
The doors were locked but Qin Zhuzhu knew how to enter the mansion.
"Come here!" She beckon to him at one side of the high wall.
"We are going to climb the wall?" Shentu Jing looked at her feet.
"Yes! I used to scale the walls and roofs back then!" Qin Zhuzhu spoke happily as she took off her high heels and tucked them under one arm.
"You can climb walls, right?"
"Right," Shentu Jing answered.
Little Pearl was indeed a naughty little fox. When he first met her, he thought she was a bunny. He watched her professionally scaled the walls. He followed after her where he watched her carefully stepped on the flower pots that seemed to be arranged like a staircase, from small to biggest. Then she jumped down.
Qin Zhuzhu dusted herself off.
"Phew! That was harder than I expected! I think I’m losing my skills," she puffed out air.
"I think you did great, Shentu Jing landed beside her.
"Not great at all! I was slow,"
"That’s already the normal speed people would take to climb,"
"I used to climb about ten times faster than that!" Qin Zhuzhu said.
Ten times faster than that???!!!
What is she, a monkey?
"What? I’m serious!" Qin Zhuzhu said when she saw the disbelief look on Shentu Jing’s face.
"Let’s take a look over there,"
For a strange reason, Qin Zhuzhu couldn’t remember much about the old Qin mansion.
Maybe it was because she hasn’t visited here for a long time and because of her problems.
As she was about to walk in, her phone rang and she saw that she had a new email.
"What’s wrong?" Shentu Jing came over and take a look.
"Nothing. It seems like I need to go back to the company. Maybe next time we’ll pay this old mansion a visit,"
On the way back, Shentu Jing and Qin Zhuzhu stood side by side waiting for the train.
They were walking when Qin Zhuzhu stopped someone walking in the opposite direction.
"Fuck! It’s Sanya!" Qin Zhuzhu panicked. She quickly turned Shentu Jing around and wanted to run away from him.
But at that moment, Sanya noticed her and called out, "Xiao Zhu! Xiao Zhu! You’re back!"
Sanya caught up behind her calling her name when she didn’t answer. Qin Zhuzhu froze on spot and excruciatingly turned around.
"Sanya, I didn’t know that you are here," she laughed nervously.
Shentu Jing had his back to Sanya.
"Who’s that?" Sanya scanned the back of the man.
He looks familiar. Sanya wanted to see his face. But Qin Zhuzhu blocked her way.
"Uh, Sanya, let’s go over there and have a chat,"
"Okay," Sanya eyed her suspiciously and the man. Qin Zhuzhu began to pull her off when she spotted someone skipping Ding Yu towards them.
To make things worst, Han Juexian came hopping happily to them saying in a loud voice. "Boss, lady boss, everything’s prepared!"
Boss? What boss?
Finally Shentu Jing turned around and came to Sanya face to face.
Sanya’s face become instantly pale and she froze. Is she seeing a ghost?
"Ah, I must have gone crazy. Can I really see ghosts?" Sanya held her head and in a second, her body went limp and she fell to the ground.
"Sanya! Sanya!" Qin Zhuzhu cried out. Sanya had fainted.
Han Juexian quickly caught her before her head hit the ground.
He looked up to see his boss staring down at him scarily, but it wasn’t the usual scary look. Instead, Shentu Jing looked pleased.
What was his boss pleased about? Why did it looked so scary? It must be because Sanya knows that he was alive and he purposely wanted her to know he was.
But why?
"We need to make up some lie so she’ll believe that you are still dead!" Qin Zhuzhu said anxiously. She started to pace the room back and forth.
Shentu Jing seem very calm. In his heart he was delighted that she cared for him.
