Chapter 205 - Ch 205 : The Fading Light

High above Tenrou Island.

Noel panted lightly, his aura appearing somewhat disordered.

In contrast, Lia remained standing calmly in place, showing not even a hint of exhaustion.

In an instant, the gap in strength between the two became unmistakably clear.

"Nord-niisama, after all these years, the purity of your divine power hasn't improved at all... On the contrary, because of that ambush in the past, your strength has actually declined."

"How do you know about that?!"

Lia casually brushed a strand of hair aside and stated as if it were the most natural thing in the world, "Because I'm your sister, of course. Keeping track of your daily actions, understanding your experiences and relationships, and constantly thinking about everything related to you—it's perfectly normal, isn't it?"

"That's completely abnormal!" Hearing Lia's words and seeing her indifferent expression, Noel felt a chill run down his spine, an inexplicable coldness spreading through his entire body.

"Hehe, Nord-niisama, let's end the game here," Lia suddenly chuckled as if sensing something.

"Those children have already completed their task, so I can't afford to be too slow either. Now, it's time to get serious—[Dark Arcane Magic: Chapter Three, Section Six—Dark Domain]."

Blackness spread across the entire space, as if night had descended prematurely.

Within this realm, no light could exist, as though the surroundings had turned into an abyss capable of devouring all illumination.

In this boundless darkness, Lia's figure gradually faded from sight.

Noel's pupils, marked with a six-pointed star, rotated slightly as he scanned the area, trying to find a flaw in Lia's attack.

"It's useless, Nord-niisama. With your current strength, you are still incapable of breaking my Dark Domain." Lia's voice echoed in his ears, but no matter how hard he tried, Noel couldn't pinpoint her exact location.

Thud!

A shallow wound suddenly appeared on Noel's cheek, with a trickle of blood slowly seeping out.

He froze—not because of the pain, but because he had no idea when or how he had been struck.

The wound was simply... already there when he noticed it.

"Damn it...[Divine Light Magic: Chapter Seven, Section Six—Supreme Judgment]!"

Noel took a deep breath as divine energy surged from his body.

A thunderous roar erupted from the sky, followed by a brief, eerie silence—like the calm before a storm.

Seconds later, the once pitch-black sky burst into a brilliant white radiance.

Columns of light descended from the distant heavens, streaking straight toward the battlefield where Noel and Lia clashed.

"Hehe, it's useless, Nord-niisama. The gap between us... is simply too vast."

Sensing Noel's technique, Lia remained completely unshaken.

Within the Dark Domain, her voice bypassed physical constraints, resonating directly in Noel's ears.

"[Dark Arcane Magic: Chapter Five, Section Seven—Hymn of Sin]."

The moment Lia spoke, black divine energy gathered around her, coalescing as if it possessed a will of its own.

Then, within the chaotic darkness, a massive black beast of unknown form began to take shape.

Sensing the descending beams of light, the beast roared in fury, as though reacting to a natural enemy.

Without hesitation, it lunged forward, its black claws effortlessly tearing through the divine radiance Noel had summoned.

"What?!"

Before Noel could even process his shock, the black beast that had shredded the holy light dispersed once more into pure dark energy.

In an instant, it reformed into a long, black whip, its handle gripped tightly by a pale, delicate hand.

Without mercy, the whip lashed toward Noel.

In the last moment, he barely managed to raise his arms in defense before being struck violently, the force sending him flying through the air.

Lia's figure reappeared in the void, her gaze fixed on Noel, who had been sent flying.

She let out a soft chuckle as the black whip obediently returned to her hand.

Stretching out her fingers, she wiped off Noel's blood from the whip before bringing the blood-stained fingertip to her lips, gently tracing it across the corner of her mouth.

"This is... Nord-niisama's blood, hehe... Nord-niisama, you belong to me, and only me. That means only I am allowed to hurt you. Only I can touch you."

Lia murmured softly, an indescribable joy filling her expression. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ

Noel clutched his injured arm, his heart sinking as he stared at Lia in the distance.

He had long known that she was beyond his ability to contend with, but the disparity he felt in their brief exchange was far greater than he had expected.

"This time... I might really be done for. The longer this drags on, the worse it'll be for me. I have no choice but to go all in."

Determination flashed in Noel's eyes as he took a deep breath.

Golden radiance began gathering in his hands, its brilliance so dazzling that it seemed to become the only source of light in existence.

In that moment, the radiance finally revealed its true form—an intricately spiraled spear, entirely condensed from light.

One end of the spear split into two bizarrely shaped prongs, from which a faint golden liquid, resembling blood, slowly trickled down.

"[Divine Light Magic, Chapter Nine, Section Seven—Lance of Longinus]."

Light burst forth, dazzling as if in an instant yet stretching into eternity.

The golden spear, carrying the radiance of the entire world, was hurled by Noel like a blazing comet, streaking toward Lia.

For a brief moment, the world was filled with pure white—a resplendent brilliance caused by the eruption of divine power.

But beauty, though breathtaking, lasted only for an instant before darkness reclaimed its dominion, swallowing every last trace of light.

Noel's eyes widened in disbelief at the scene before him.

The golden spear of divine light—his ultimate attack—was held firmly in the grasp of a single hand.

The divine power it had yet to unleash was completely suppressed, seized as if it were nothing.

This was the absolute disparity in strength.

Lia smiled faintly and, with a casual squeeze, crushed the divine spear into fragments of dissipating light.

As she gazed at the astonished Noel, she spoke softly, "So this was Nord-niisama's strongest attack? Hmm... Then, I suppose it's time to bring this to an end."

"[Dark Divine Magic, Chapter Nine, Section Seven—Dark Emperor's Blade]."

As Lia's voice fell, the surrounding darkness condensed in an instant.

Destruction itself seemed to bow before its monarch, obeying her command as it coalesced into her grasp.

A long, ominous black sword began to take shape, its eerie form pulsating with a terrifying force.

The sky screamed.

The earth roared.

The sheer magnitude of the dark energy shook the very fabric of the universe as torrents of black radiance surged forth.

Lia swung her sword downward.

She did not aim at Noel—because there was no longer any need to aim at anyone.

This blade was not merely meant to cut down an enemy—it could obliterate everything.

The black blade shattered everything.

With almost no resistance, it tore through and obliterated all of Noel's defenses, striking his body directly.

Like a butterfly with its wings torn off, Noel plummeted downward, his divine form nearly stripped away.

His entire body became a falling star, crashing into the ground with tremendous force, shattering the very earth upon impact.

Lia descended slowly, landing beside the unconscious Noel.

She crouched down, her fingers gently caressing his face as she smiled tenderly and whispered, "Just wait a little longer, Nord-niisama... Just a little while more, and we'll be together forever. You belong to me. You will always belong to me."

A single black rose drifted onto Noel's motionless body.

Lia straightened, turned, and walked away—her steps slow, deliberate, unwavering.
