Extra's Harem: Invincibility Starts with Marriage and lots of Children-Chapter 129- Prince Orion on Move
The Distant Palace stood quiet, far from the main palace's chaos.
It belonged to the Second Queen, but right beside it were two smaller palaces—one for Prince Orion and one for Prince Alden.
In the garden, under the shade of trees, the two brothers sat at a black stone chessboard. The scent of flowers drifted in the air, but the tension between them was sharp, mostly one-sided from Prince Alden.
Orion leaned back, eyes closed as usual, moving his pieces with effortless ease without even looking at them. Alden, on the other hand, looked tense, his fingers gripping his pieces a little too hard.
"Ah, dear sis—brother," Orion said smoothly, shifting a knight. "Your king is exposed again. But I suppose one must actually see the board to understand danger. Lack of vision... quite the fatal flaw."
Alden clenched his jaw. He knew Orion wasn't just talking about chess. His mind flashed back to the library—to him.
Kyle Arcutus.
The humiliation still burned. The sneers, the words that cut deeper than a blade, the way he had been made to feel small in front of everyone.
Now, even here, Alden felt it again.
Orion most probably came to know about what happened in the library that day from those other members of the Branch family.
Orion sighed theatrically, fingers tapping the table. "See how my pawn has surrounded the king?" His lips curled into a smirk. "Sometimes, even the king has to watch out for the pawns. Unlike some unfit people like Prince Alden."
Alden's grip tightened on his piece. He didn't respond.
Orion hummed as he moved his queen. "Oh, but I forgot—" He chuckled. "You can't be the king either way...."
Alden froze.
His fingers curled into a fist under the table. He didn't need to look up to see the smug expression on Orion's face.
He knew what Orion meant by that word.
For Alden, whose identity was snatched from him the day he was born, had already made it clear that he doesn't have an identity either way.
Then—a shift.
The air grew heavy.
A figure appeared beside Orion, kneeling, materializing from the shadows.
"Your Highness," the figure said, his tone even. "The Exorcism Sect has been destroyed by a member of the Neutral faction who declared herself as the wife of Kyle Arcutus."
'!'
"What!?", Prince Orion's eyes snapped open, blazing with fury.
A massive shockwave burst from him, sending both the arriving man and Alden flying backward.
The sheer force of his anger dug deep grooves into the ground as both of them skidded along, arms crossed in a last-ditch effort to protect themselves.
Trees groaned and bent, their trunks straining under the overwhelming power pouring out of Orion.
It was intense, to say the least.
"Kugh, B-brother, control yourself!", Alden's voice broke into a feminine tone as he felt firsthand the sharp energy of one of the only Peak 7th layer masters in the whole Azure Flame Kingdom.
It was known to everyone that Prince Orion was, among all the princes, the only one with that strong level of power which was just a sub-level lower than the present King of the Azure Flame Kingdom.
"Sigh, Kyle Arcutus? No, it's more like that woman wants to blame someone else to indirect my rage, but good, I will definitely play along," Orion, even in an enraged state, controlled a large amount of resistance evident from how the trees were not uprooted and the chessboard had not been flung. It was only that his brother and the one who came to deliver the message who were thrown back due to Qi resonance—an ability only he possessed.
The more one has Qi, the more they will feel the weight over their body and fear him—an absolute ability.
"B-brother?", Alden seemed to tremble looking at Orion, visibly clenching his jaws as he gripped his elbow, wanting to control this feeling he always had whenever standing against Orion.
"Send the invitation for the banquet to everyone. Let's show these newly arrived insects how it feels to wiggle on the floor!"

The morning sun bathed the capital in golden hues, but the usual sense of calm was missing.
The streets buzzed with murmurs, thick with disbelief and hushed speculations.

Merchants fumbled with their wares, more interested in gossip than sales, while servants moved hastily between noble estates, ears perked for fresh news.
Even the city guards, normally indifferent to daily affairs, exchanged uneasy glances.
The Exorcism Sect was gone.
Not weakened, not merely defeated—wiped out overnight.
The implications sent ripples through every corner of the city.

Within the lavish hall of Baron Edric's estate, golden chandeliers flickered over a long mahogany table, casting shifting shadows on the tense faces of the gathered nobles.
The rich aroma of aged wine filled the air, yet no one touched their cups.
"Prince Orion's greatest pillar of support is gone," Baron Edric finally broke the silence, his voice measured yet heavy with meaning.
He swirled his wine absently, but his sharp eyes studied the faces around him. "The Exorcism Sect was his foundation. Without them, how much weight does his name still carry?"
"That is the question, isn't it?" Viscount Renard leaned forward, his fingers idly playing with the golden rings on his hand. "With the sect erased, Orion stands alone. And alone… he is vulnerable even if he is at the Peak 7th layer, right?"
Yet those words were enough to make the room fall silent, as they exchanged glances, knowing well that the power level of a Orion was already something far stronger they could ever hope to go against.
But against a kingdom where the king ruled and controlled hundreds of cultivators, it was impractical to give weight to a single individual with so much power.
A confused murmur of agreement or disagreement swept through the room.
Count Durand, the eldest among them, tapped his cane against the marble floor, his gaze contemplative. "The Blooddemoness claimed she did it for Kyle Arcutus, but that doesn't explain the whole picture. Was this an act of love? A warning? Or is Princess Aleriana behind this all?"
"If Orion is weakened, the balance shifts," another noble muttered. "What does that mean for us?"
Before an answer could form, the heavy double doors burst open, slamming against the walls with a resounding crack.
"Haaa... Haaa..." A breathless servant stumbled in, his eyes darting nervously across the gathered lords. "Your Lordships! Prince Orion has sent an invitation—he is organizing a banquet and has summoned everyone in the Aristocracy, including other heirs."
A sharp silence followed.
Then, without a word, the nobles exchanged knowing glances.
Orion was moving.
And none of them had a choice but to answer the call.

Far beyond the capital, in the mist-cloaked valley of the Thousand Rivers Sect, the air inside the grand hall was thick with tension.
Candles flickered in their ornate holders, casting long, shifting shadows across the stone walls. The gathered elders sat in rigid silence as the news settled over them like a heavy shroud.
"The Exorcism Sect… gone," a young disciple reported, his voice barely above a whisper.
Grand Elder Xuan exhaled slowly, stroking his long beard. "An entire sect, erased in a single night. That kind of power… it is not to be ignored, but the problem is that the one who did it was not from an unorthodox faction but neutral. Should we do something?"
"No," another elder muttered, his grip tightening on the hilt of his ceremonial sword. "Just ignore this matter for now; we can take revenge for our fallen brethren when the time comes. Just send someone to check if the legacy of the puppet master is yet to be opened by the remaining members of the Exorcism Sect. Don't let them know that we are already aware of this, and when they open it, kill them and claim the legacy."
There was nothing but silence, as they considered that even though they were all from the orthodox faction, internal politics definitely made it complicated with pros and cons.
Here, after the destruction of the Exorcism Sect, they were freer to act.
And once the ghosts surrounding the area of the puppet master were erased, they would have a chance to enter first while killing the remaining members of the Exorcism Sect after fighting the ghosts.
