Extra Demon: Sacred Academy of Light-Chapter 151: First island
"It's like traveling through water." Arthur furrowed his brow and looked down. The multicolored platform became transparent, revealing a heartbreaking view: the land below looked as small as a grain of uncooked rice. The vast expanses of land were no longer visible, and in their place, enormous territories rose toward the edges of the planet in different directions, as if they had no end. All the students stood with their mouths agape, amazed at how high they were rising in just a few seconds.
"Impressive, right?" The little bear adopted a smug expression. "All of this is thanks to the Queen of the Beastly Clears. Everything you see is because of your presence." He said with devotion. "The vast expanses of land are territories of highly evolved bloodline animals." The little bear raised one of his paws. "The higher the territory, the more powerful the animal, whether it's of high blood or even the territory of a progenitor."
"Totally." Arthur agreed with his explanation. The expanses of land began to shrink rapidly as they ascended. He shook his head and looked at a place resembling a snow-covered forest... another like a jungle, and next to it, a desert, among many other biomes, all extremely vast.
"Get ready, we're almost there!" The little bear's eyes shone as he looked at the land above their heads. Unlike the others, this one was extremely small, no more than 10 kilometers in diameter.
"What is this?" Beatrice said with a nervous tone while her body trembled slightly. She looked up with a furrowed brow.
It wasn't just her. The pressure emanating from this small island was unbearable. Hundreds of extremely dangerous presences could be felt in the same place, and the concentrated energy caused the students' bodies to tremble. Some even showed signs of losing control.
"Control yourself." The professor's cold voice was reassuring. She extended her hand, and halos of light in a celestial blue enveloped all the students, accompanied by a cool breeze. Finally, the students were able to breathe a sigh of relief, though their eyes remained worried as they watched the island grow larger.
The little bear licked his lips and stood up. With that, the platform reached the surface level of the island.
"But..."
"Guag!"
The students gasped aloud, all of them surprised by what their eyes had just seen. A beautiful castle, entirely made of large trees. The branches were distorted, forming statues or exceptional details that seemed impossible unless they were painted. The leaves were of different colors, adding more life to the decorations. The tree castle seemed to be right in the middle of the island. The ground around it was covered in white-gray marble, and small plants shimmered mystically, releasing tiny motes of mana.
There were small sections scattered around: an ocean, a meadow, an oasis, and more. freēwēbnovel.com
"Welcome to the first island!" The bear walked in front of the students. "The properties of the Queen."
"Oh, look who it is!" A familiar voice echoed through the air. A rift appeared in space, and from it stepped out a peculiar young man. He had light blue eyes and hair. His hair was disheveled, but it gave him an artistic aura. The young man's face was radiant, pale white, and attractive. He was about 1.80 meters tall, wearing loose celeste-colored clothes and simple sneakers. "Guag! You arrived very quickly, not bad at all," the young man said, nodding with a smile.
Arthur watched him carefully. He seemed so familiar. He thought for a moment, and his eyes widened in surprise. "Progenitor Stag!" he murmured to himself, looking back at the young man, who appeared to be just an ordinary teenager at first glance, without even a hint of pressure emanating from him.
The young man smiled brightly and approached Professor Emilia. With a slight bow of his head, he said, "Welcome, Miss Emilia, allow me to be your guide."
The professor nodded with a soft smile. "That's very kind of you, Mr. Aurelen. It would be of great help."
"Hohohoho," Aurelen laughed strangely and nodded his head. He walked over and placed his hand on the little bear. "Good job, little one!"
The little bear's eyes sparkled, and he nodded, waving goodbye to the students before running at full speed toward the castle.
"Follow me! I'll take you to see His Majesty," Aurelen said with a smile as he began walking.
As they walked, the students remained increasingly impressed. They even saw some children running and playing among themselves. They appeared to be normal children, but they were much stronger than children should be. The children saw Aurelen and ran toward him, jumping around him, seemingly asking for something.
Aurelen smiled tenderly and nodded. The children extended their hands, and in them, ice creams appeared. The children giggled as they thanked Aurelen. They glanced curiously at the students but quickly lost interest and returned to their games.
"Those are the children of high-blooded animals who've reached the peak of their evolution," Aurelen explained with a smile while watching the children. "The little one who brought them here is also from a great family of forest bears, but he cannot take his human form outside this place. He can only do so within His Majesty's territory. We all have the same rule."
"Why is that, Mr. Aurelen?" Daniela couldn't hold back her curiosity and raised her hand, respectfully asking.
"Good question!" Aurelen nodded, pleased with the inquiry. "By maintaining our human form, our powers are greatly reduced. It's very dangerous, especially for the children, to maintain their human form in other places. We become vulnerable. It's very sad, but that's how things are. Normally, we only use our human form in the territories of high-blood families that have reached the peak of their evolution, in progenitor territories, and within His Majesty's territory."
"I see." Daniela nodded with a smile on her lips, quickly opened her small book, and began writing some notes.
"Let's go! We're almost at the audience with His Majesty!" Aurelen was in a very good mood.
