The groggy little Husky, lying atop Xiao Ji, yawned and said to Qi Chen. When Agunas, opening the door, glanced at Feng Yuan, he said with an annoyed tone,

"Wasn’t it you who wanted to go out and play? It’s almost ten o’clock. If we don’t leave now, are you sure there’s enough time to do anything today?"

"That’s specially left for you. My mom had to go out, so she cooked it first and left it there waiting for you."

Leaving ingredients for Feng Yuan to cook himself after he woke up wasn’t an issue, but Qi Chen’s mother didn’t think this was the best approach. Therefore, she had left breakfast for him and only then went out, adding to the fact that Qi Chen didn’t believe that Feng Yuan had stayed up late, hence why he cooked and called him to get up.

"I thought she was going to head out with us."

Feng Yuan looked at Qi Chen in surprise. He really had assumed so, but it turned out he was wrong. Qi Chen eyed Feng Yuan speechlessly and said,

"Do you think she’d have fun following us around?"

It wasn’t about being unwelcoming. It was just that with the age difference, everyone liked different things. It was fine to shop together, but going out to play was another matter, unless it’s a family outing or picnic; otherwise, it’s difficult to go out together.

To her knowledge, those stray Spirit Beasts usually hid in secluded corners during the day and only appeared in people’s line of sight around meal times. However, most of the time, they would go to public institutions known for feeding them and wait politely at the door.

"Are you planning to finish off all your dog food before school starts?"
