Conquering Ladies With My 10x Rebate System-Chapter 30: How?
Chapter 30: How?
Caleb woke up, his body feeling a bit stiff from the little exercise the day before.
He looked forward to find Naya’s figure; she was already dressed in a short white gown.
"Are you up?" she asked with a soft voice as she felt his movements.
"Yeah. I am," Caleb said, sitting up on the bed while getting a clearer view of what she was doing.
She held the card up close, as though examining it.
"Anything wrong with the card?" Caleb asked.
"No, I’m only connecting with it..." she replied bluntly. She took a deep breath, placing the card away, apparently done with what she was doing.
"I guess there’s a lot I’m yet to know about the cards?" Caleb asked.
"Yes, the cards are strange... Even I at first didn’t know much about them until I went there," Naya said, her eyes flashing with slight fear as the memory crossed her mind.
She jolted up slightly in surprise as Caleb’s hands crossed over her from behind.
"No need to be scared... I’m here for you," Caleb said confidently.
Feeling his hot breath on top of her head, Naya’s mind flashed back to the night before.
All the weird noises she never thought she would make.
The weird words that she said...
Her face flushed red.
"Don’t touch me!" she shouted, pulling Caleb’s arms away while abruptly standing from the chair, giving some distance between them.
"What is it this time? Now you know how to act sassy, after everything from yesterday?" Caleb asked with a smug grin on his face.
The red on her face deepened.
"Forget everything that happened, forget everything I said... If you tell anyone, I’ll make sure I cut your tongue off," Naya said, posing confidently.
Yet the smile on Caleb’s face made her confidence melt.
’She’s such a pain in the ass. After everything she said yesterday?... Although it was the fact that she was scared of losing me... But to act all sassy now?’ he thought, rubbing the bridge of his nose.
He could understand her personality.
Inwardly, she was a shy type, but then she coated her exterior with a cold attitude that made everyone avoid her.
She wasn’t the type to act based on her sensual feelings, and she still didn’t want to accept the fact that she liked him regardless.
Caleb smiled at her reaction... ’At least teasing her was going to be fun.’
"You don’t expect me to forget everything we did yesterday so easily, do you?... I mean, we shared a lot of things," Caleb smiled wickedly.
Naya flinched.
The red reaching the tip of her ears as she remembered him entering inside her the night before.
"I-It was only the reward for helping me out... Nothing more!" she yelled back, crossing her hands over her chest, looking away to avoid his gaze.
"Yes... My reward," Caleb said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
He chuckled right after, seeing that she no longer wished to reply.
Caleb looked to the white sofa that was in the room, seeing the men’s wear that was arranged on it.
He smiled.
’At least she’s thoughtful.’ He walked up to the sofa, sizing up the clothes she had purchased for him.
"Even underwears? How the hell do you even know my size?" Caleb asked as he stretched the pants.
Naya’s face flushed.
"Stop asking me stupid questions and change already! I want to go," Naya yelled in fake anger.
"Alright, alright," Caleb laughed as he changed up quickly, wearing the plain T-shirt and the trousers she purchased.
It was nothing classy, just simple but neat and comfy.
As he dressed, Naya sat, looking away from him while staring from time to time, her gaze moving down to his little brother, her memories flashing back to the night before. freewebnøvel.com
’Naya, what’s wrong with you!’
She shook her head, erasing the thought from her mind.
"I’m done," Caleb announced as soon as he finished.
Naya took a deep breath, regaining her composure before turning to look in his direction.
"So what do you plan to do now that he is dead?... You’re going to leave?" she asked, the first question that was on her mind through the night.
Although he promised that he’d be there for her when she needed him, that didn’t mean that he didn’t have plans of his own as well.
’Perhaps kidnapping him would be an option, but let’s hear what he has to say first,’ she thought to herself, an evil grin forming by her side for a slight moment.
"Well... Since you know my background already, I’m sure you also know the deal my father set up for us, and you should know my standing currently," Caleb started, sitting on the sofa, his gaze locked with hers.
"Yes, I’m aware of the deal your father made with you all. I don’t believe there’s any major influencer who doesn’t," Naya replied calmly.
"But I thought you didn’t want anything to do with it?" she inquired.
"Well, at first I wasn’t, but now I want to..." he said with a stern voice.
"Hmm... Well, like you said, you’re at the rock bottom in the list at the moment. So it will be very difficult for you to surpass your siblings. I’m not even as rich as some of them, even with the influence of my card," Naya was surprised by his sudden interest. But it made sense to her.
Something like that was indeed tempting, and for someone like her, she could even consider it fun.
Surpassing each of themselves and trying to gain their father’s recognition.
"You’re right, and that was partly the reason behind my investments in the mega hall yesterday."
Naya quickly remembered Martin, the hotel manager.
Even she knew that such an investment was a big one, but there were a lot of downsides to it.
Firstly, building would take a huge amount of money.
And then getting people to use the hall was another big part of the problem.
"You’re right... It might look like a big investment, but the returns will take a lot of time... I’m sure your dad will be giving out his inheritance before you’d even be able to reach your siblings... How do you want to pull it off?" Naya asked worriedly.
"Simple, that’s why I have you."
