Chapter 72: The Ghost

"!!!"

Everyone couldn’t fully react to the sudden outburst. At first they saw Lu Nanxiao suddenly stop from eating and smile at them as if he was in sudden relief. Yet just as they thought he finally realizes his mistakes, his face turns really pale and starts vomiting non-stop.

"Lu Nanxiao/ A’Xiao!"

The trainees quickly gathered towards the young man who fainted.

"Quickly transfer him to the clinic!"

As everyone became anxious, the staff behind the cameras who were monitoring them outside the building came together with the emergency nurse robots.

"Student Lu!" A staff member anxiously called the young man and patted his cheeks multiple times but the young man was not responsive.

"Nanxiao!" Some of his close friends wanted to go closer but the staff quickly prevented them so they could only remain standing on the side and watched him pick up by the staff. They also followed them to the clinic and the whole building became so messy for this situation that no one noticed a young man did not choose to follow.

While the whole training camp turned into chaos, Qin An slipped away and went to the balcony silently. He went to the corner where the camera can’t capture him and stood there for a few seconds before he sighs.

"Why don’t you come out?"

His cold voice sounded, breaking the tranquility.

Qin An didn’t hear footsteps coming closer but he knew that the latter was already standing behind him.

After all, ghosts don’t have footsteps anymore.

Qin An turned around and saw a fat young man with a pale face and dried blood stains on his clothes. The young man is somewhat transparent and he had no feet as if the lowest part of his body fades away so he was clearly floating while moving around.

Qin An looked at his overall appearance and was helpless. It’s really a ghost.

The ghost looked at the young man in front of him with timidity and fear. He didn’t know why the young man could see him. He’s been like this for a few months already, floating around the world like a wind passing by. And no one could ever see him so he was already used to it.

Qin An stopped his thoughts when he heard a hesitant voice from his side. The ghost looks at him timidly but manages to have the courage to speak even though he stutters.

"T-That... W-Why can you see me?" The ghost hesitantly asked him.

Qin An didn’t answer. Not because he can’t but because he doesn’t know what to say. What? That he’s a former grim reaper?

Instead of answering, Qin An asked a question.

"How long have you been here?"

"I-I... I-It’s been six months."

Half a year? He frowns.

"No one can see you?" The ghost shook his head.

"Then... why did you enter Lu Nanxiao’s body?" His eyes narrowed sharply. In the past, there’s too many ghosts who acted like this. Afraid of the strong but will always take advantage of the weak especially humans who can’t fight. Some were also eager to enter other’s bodies for many reasons but almost all of them... want to occupy other people’s bodies to live like a real human again.

The fat on his body was trembling and he covered his face in fear and anxiety.

"I-I was really wrong!" The ghost really doesn’t know why he’s so afraid of this young man even if he couldn’t even touch him but he just does it.

Qin An looks even more speechless. He took a deep breath to calm himself and massage his temples.

Where’s the underworld in this world?! They must give him an explanation for giving him such headaches!
