Chapter 127: A Green Tea And the White Lotus

A murder case... this is just one of the cases that he had met in the past. Of course, grim reapers like them are not the one who should take action to humans, instead they are only the bridges to let the souls go to where they are destined to.

To avenge the real ’Bai Yue’ if what he’s saying is the truth, they need to ask help from others. Someone who is powerful to reveal the truth.

They need external help.

Unfortunately, the Marshal cannot be contracted for now.

Qin An sighs. "You need to force yourself and don’t do anything especially to Bai Ling," he warns the ghost not to cause unnecessary actions that might worsen his condition but the latter misunderstood that he wants to protect Bai Ling.

The once calmed resentment around him surges up again due to his emotion.

"What do you mean that I couldn’t avenge myself even after hearing my story?!" Rage once again clouded Bai Yue’s mind that he couldn’t think with sanity. His heart was filled with extreme hatred but just for Bai Ling but everyone.

Why?!

Why is not everyone believing him?! Why is that no one cares for him?! This is even the only thing that he wanted, to give justice for himself! Yet he won’t let him vent for himself! Was what he suffered not enough to at least empathize with him?!

They are all the same! He is just the same as them!

Bai Yue’s red eyes shoot glares at the young man. At this moment, he doesn’t care if the latter has the ability to defeat him. He doesn’t care anymore what will happen to him if he was stabbed by his sword. All he wanted was to vent out the despair that he’s been holding inside his heart.

Bai Yue’s resentment grew and he quickly launched an attack on Qin An.

Qin An immediately noticed his action and raised his sword to block him.

"If you side with that liar, then it’s better to kill you too!" Bai Yue roared and shot a wave of dark mist at him. Qin An’s face remains calm as he steadily holds his sword and waves it to the upcoming attack.

The dark energy was no use to his sword and it won’t affect him. Both of them continued fighting and it was obvious that no matter what the ghost tried to attack him, he was not at all compared to a veteran like him.

His moves were also just reckless and a bit clumsy because the latter was never someone who knew how to fight. Only instinct and the hatred inside him drives him to attack.

But obviously, it was only a matter of a short time that the dark energy on the ghost became exhausted and stopped fighting.

His face turns pale and suddenly howls loudly, crying in frustration. This made Qin An speechless as he made the sword disappear then held his forehead.

What a pain.

Qin An warned the ghost not to do anything so when morning came and they went back to the training room to practice, the ghost could only stick himself to the corner and watched them quietly.

Meanwhile when lunch came, Qin An was eating with others when Bai Yue found his way to them holding his food.

"Senior Chi," he greets the guest member on He Yan’s group, Chi Ling.

Chi Ling immediately stops eating and smiles at him. "Yueyue, you are finally here. I’m waiting for you earlier so we could eat together but you said we were busy."

Bai Yue smiles with embarrassment. "Yeah, I also thought so. We were busy practicing so it took some time."

"It’s okay. Come, sit here with us." Bai Yue said yes and took the seat beside Chi Ling before facing them.

"Classmate Qin, fortunately you are here too. I’m quite embarrassed eating with you since I don’t know the other trainees."

Chi Ling waves his hand. "What embarrassing? I’m sure they won’t mind you eating with us. Right?" he asked He Yan and others who nodded. This made Chi Ling’s smile widen and unexpectedly look at Qin An.

"I thought you would end the practice early because this classmate came here earlier."

"..."

Everyone at the table suddenly stopped when they heard those words. The atmosphere freezes and they notice the trace of unfriendliness on Chi Ling’s eyes when he looks at Qin An.

Only did others also remember that it was Bai Yue on Qin An’s team. As Bai Yue said, their team was busy so he was late at lunch yet Qin An was already here when they came here.

Qin An went to eat lunch without waiting for his team, was that Chi Ling implying?

They looked at Qin An but before the latter could answer, a voice that was not from their table sounded first.

"Isn’t it because Qin An was assigned in a part wherein he was not even considered relevant?"

Everyone turns their heads and looks at the new person coming.

Cao Ming.

The latter smiles at them and stops in front of their table to sit beside Qin An unexpectedly.

"Haven’t you heard that their group changed something on the song and Qin An got the least part?" Cao Ming continued.

He Yan frowns and looks at Qin An. "Is that true? But.. Qin An obviously improved. He can take some parts that have some parts."

Cao Ming didn’t answer and turned to look at Bai Yue. "Maybe Senior Bai can answer you. After all, he was in the same group at Qin An."

Bai Yue opened his mouth yet before he could speak, Cao Ming once again intervened.

"It’s really a bit weird. In our group, Senior Mian took over the most part because he said that every member must have the parts that can make us stand out on stage. He was very considerate to us and made sure not a single member would be left out."

Bai Yue’s face flashed and he bit his lips, an aggrieved expression on his face.

"I didn’t mean to give Classmate Qin a part like that. Besides, it was their Captain who suggested and Classmate Qin even agreed to this matter." He looks at Cao Ming pitifully. "A’Ming, I am really sorry for not being the best in our team though. Your words were right. I should talk to Captain Han about it."

Others look at the two conversing with ambiguous words and to those who are keen was quick to notice there’s something going on between the two.

"A’Ming?" Chi Ling noticed something. "Yueyue, do you know him?"

Bai Yue smiles and nods. "Yes, he’s my brother—"

"Half brother." Once again, Cao Ming cut Bai Yue off. But this time, the smile that he usually wears was not on his face as he looked at Bai Yue coldly.

"He’s my father’s child and his mistress."

"!!!"
