Chapter 14 - I Intend To Claim You Whenever I Want.

Dimitri's voice rang out from within, smooth and commanding. Without hesitation, Sorayah pushed open the heavy wooden door and stepped inside.

The Beta Lord sat upon an ornate throne-like chair, his posture regal yet utterly indifferent as he flipped through a stack of documents. The dim candlelight flickered over the sharp planes of his face, casting eerie shadows across the room.

"Grind me some ink," he ordered, not sparing her a glance.

Sorayah immediately moved closer, lowering herself to her knees beside him. Her fingers worked swiftly, grinding the ink with practiced precision, though her heart hammered in her chest.

A heavy silence lingered between them until Dimitri spoke again.

"Do you know the punishment for lateness on your first day?"

His voice was deceptively casual, yet the underlying threat was unmistakable.

Sorayah swallowed hard, her gaze fixed on the ink stone as she continued working, pretending she hadn't heard him. But she had. Every syllable rang in her ears like a death sentence.

"But then..." Dimitri continued, finally setting his quill aside and turning his golden eyes to her. "You can be forgiven this once."

Relief flickered through her until his next words struck her like a whip.

"But next time, the ones you love might be included in your punishment."

Her hand faltered. The grinding stone scraped against the surface, the sound cutting through the silence like a blade.

Slowly, she raised her head, her piercing blue eyes locking onto his. Anger smoldered beneath her gaze, but Dimitri only smirked, satisfied by the reaction.

"As my personal servant," he continued, his voice smooth as silk, "everything that concerns me must be your concern as well. My food, my bath, my outfits...everything must be handled by you." He picked up his quill again, dipping it into the freshly ground ink before continuing to write. "To be honest, the others always came in twos, threes, sometimes even fours. But you?" He smirked. "You are alone."

His words hung in the air like an unspoken challenge.

"I believe you can handle it though."

Sorayah's fingers clenched into fists, but she forced her voice to remain steady. "I'll do my best."

Dimitri hummed in approval, the quill scratching against the parchment. "Good."

But then, he paused.

"There's one other responsibility you must fulfill."

Something in his tone made Sorayah's spine stiffen.

"And what would that be, Your Highness?" she asked cautiously, her brows furrowing.

Dimitri's green eyes gleamed as he leaned slightly toward her.

"I intend to claim you whenever I want."

The words slammed into her like a physical blow.

Her blood ran cold.

"You will satisfy me during heat, whenever and however I desire."

Sorayah's body tensed.

A sharp, bitter chill spread through her veins, quickly replaced by boiling rage.

What the hell did he just say?

She knew Dimitri was cruel. She knew he was a monster. But this?

Her hands trembled as she clenched her fists so tightly her nails dug into her palms.

"I refuse."

Her voice was steady, but fury burned through every syllable as she raised her chin and met his gaze head-on.

"I may be a lowly maid, but I will never allow you to violate my body."

Dimitri's smirk widened. "Really?" he drawled, his amusement barely contained.

"Well..." He leaned back, stretching lazily. "That's not really up to you."

Just then, the heavy door creaked open.

Liam entered, dragging a struggling figure forward before shoving them onto the cold stone floor.

Sorayah's breath caught in her throat.

Lily.

"Lily!" she cried, scrambling to her feet and rushing toward her.

Lily let out a weak whimper, her body trembling as she clutched her arms.

"What the hell are you doing?" Sorayah snapped, turning back to Dimitri with pure fury in her eyes.

Dimitri tilted his head, his expression bored as he lazily unsheathed his sword. The blade gleamed under the dim light.

"Taking the life of your dear sister." He twirled the sword between his fingers before pointing it toward Sorayah. "And yours since you're not use."

Sorayah's chest heaved, rage and fear colliding inside her like a violent storm.

"You must have gone insane!" she screamed. "Do you think you're impressive? Treating others like trash just to feel powerful? Do you think it makes you strong?"

Her voice cracked with fury.

"You're pathetic," she spat. "You think you're superior, but the truth is, you're nothing. A wretched excuse for a ruler."

The air in the room shifted.

Liam took an instinctive step forward, his hand gripping his sword hilt, ready to silence her.

But Dimitri raised a hand, stopping him.

"Interesting," he murmured, his smirk unwavering.

Sorayah's breath was ragged as she stared at him, hatred pouring from her eyes as she had completely lost all the patience she had.

"You know what?" she continued, voice sharp with defiance. "No wonder your brother was given the throne instead of you. And when he died, the crown was passed to his son, not you because you're useless."

Liam stiffened.

The air crackled with tension.

Sorayah wasn't finished.

"The only thing you know how to do is kill. That's all you are, a heartless monster."

Dimitri exhaled slowly.

His green eyes locked onto her, unblinking, unwavering.

"If you think your words will move me," he said at last, his tone eerily calm, "you're wrong as those words now sound as praises in my ears as I've heard it from countless people everytime."

His fingers twitched.

At once, Liam understood the silent command.

Lily let out a cry as she was yanked up and dragged toward the door.

"Lily!" Sorayah screamed, lunging forward.

But before she could take another step, Dimitri grabbed her wrist.

In one swift, powerful motion, he flung her onto the bed.

Her body hit the soft mattress, and before she could react, he was on top of her, his weight caging her in.

Her breath caught in her throat.

Dimitri's green eyes burned into hers, his smirk returning as he whispered...

"Now... let's see if you're still so bold. I love it rough though."
