Beastmen Love-Chapter 217: Emotional Reunion - Part 2

Zin hugs her tightly, filling his lungs with her scent again. Every breath is reviving his heart more. Astri goes to Koa, kisses his lips, and hugs him, too. Then does the same for Dieg. She goes to Hopin and is amazed by his size.

"Look at you! You’re a grown male! Look at these muscles!!" Astri says and hugs Hopin. "Before I could put my face on your head, now you do it on me!" She says, emotionally.

She sees Elias and Kai, and breathes, amazed by how handsome they are.

"My mighty tigers.. Look how handsome you are, too." She says, holding their faces.

She cleans their tears a little and hugs them tightly. They hug her so tightly that they’re trembling, because they missed their mother so much. So many times they cried, hiding from others, because they missed her.

"Ah... I wish I were there when you first shifted." She says, crying too.

She looks at Yuki, so grown up, so beautiful. They hug each other tightly, and Astri holds her face, amazed by how mature her daughter looks.

"My beautiful Yuki. My lovely Yuki... By seeing your face now, I can feel that you supported everyone emotionally, like you naturally always did since you were a baby." Astri says.

Yuki only cries and nods, trying to say that she was trying her best. Astri hugs her again, showing that she’s not alone on that anymore.

"Thank you for everything you did, my love... You were amazing."

She sees Atlas, who was crying all the time, too. Happy that everything is over, but also happy that his mother is back. When she finally hugged him, it felt like all the weight he was carrying was lifted from his shoulders.

"Atlas did so much to help our fathers every day. He became so strong." Yuki proudly says.

"I know. He was always brilliant." Astri says, rubbing her hands on his back. "It’s all right, my love. You did great. You can rest now. I’m here." She says soothing words.

When it’s Aurora and Albus’s turn, they’re a bit divided because they almost have no memory of Astri at all. They only know her by the statue Cyprian made, and the paintings Zin did. Lee pushes their backs to go to Astri.

"I’m sorry I couldn’t watch you grow.. All of you." Astri says to all her children, then she kneels in front of Aurora and Albus, holding their hands. "It’s not fair that you have stayed with me so little. I know you must not have the same feelings I have for you, but I promise you that I’ll be the mother you deserve."

Their eyes filled with tears, then Astri hugged them tightly, emotional too.

"I missed you so much.. I love you all so much." She says, rubbing their backs.

"Don’t say like it was your choice or fault, mother." Hopin says, cleaning his wet face.

"Still. It hurts knowing that I didn’t watch all of you growing."

She looks at Galion, who was also emotional. His hair is now short and more practical. She hugs her friend tightly.

"I like the haircut, bro." She says.

"Easier to deal with."

She goes to Skalven, his longer curled hair pulled behind his ears slightly, and she hugs him, too.

"My sweet and dear spider. Thank you for not leaving." She says.

"I would never leave my family and you.." He says, emotionally.

She smiles, thrilled. She holds his face and softly kisses his lips. Impressing him, but making him the happiest spider that ever existed, and the tears flowed abundantly again. She calms him down, cleaning his face.

She goes to the dinosaurs, and they’re also with happy, thrilled faces.

"I prefer this hairstyle the most, King with no crown." Astri says to Bono.

He chuckles, then shows her the spear she gave him and always carries everywhere.

"I still carry the spear, even though I’m not the King anymore." He says.

"Really? Who is the King now?" She asks, impressed.

She goes to him, then uses his spear to jump up and hug his neck, surprising him, and he hugs her back, so happy. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

"Pete." He answers, holding her carefully in his arms.

"Pete! Who would have imagined? And your father?"

He smiles sadly and shakes his head.

"He lived long.. He was killed in one of our expeditions." He answers.

Her heart broke at hearing that.

"I’m so sorry..." She says, crying.

"He died believing he was doing the right thing... I missed you.." He says, hugging her a bit more tightly and filling his lungs with her unique scent, too.

"It’s been how long?"

"Four years."

"So long ago... I’m sorry.." She says.

Now she understands that they were risking themselves around the world to try to find her. She looks at her spouses from Bono’s arms.

"Where are Xzan and Dante?" She asks them.

Everyone knew what happened to them, but didn’t want to be the ones to say out loud what happened. Bono puts her down, and she looks around and starts to cry, understanding why they’re not answering.

"No.. No!" She cries, hiding her face with her hands.

Everyone tried to comfort her, but it wasn’t easy for her to contain the tears. She just discovered three people she loved have died. Xzan and Dante were going to be her spouses, she loved how they treated her as a normal female. And Otto was a gem and a very dear friend. It hurts her heart so much to just imagine they lost their lives because of her.

"How long?" She asks.

"Almost four years ago, too." Claud answers, rubbing her head.

"Oh.. Dante.. Xzan.." She cries.

They let her calm down on her own time. Claud translates what happened to Shinkou and Kenzou to let them understand why she’s crying. After calming down a little bit more, Astri tries to focus on the present. If she keeps being depressed, it will be disrespectful to everyone happy to finally be together. Then she calls Shinkou and Kenzou, presents them and Reigan to everyone.

Everyone went to meet them, but mostly Reigan, finding him so cute. Yuki carries him and giggles when he licks her face.

"Dieg, please tell me your parents are fine.." Astri says with a pleading face to Dieg.

"They’re great. My mother officially became the eldest female of our tribes." Dieg answers with a bright smile, making Astri give a big sigh of relief.

"This is going to be your grandfather, too. Behold, once you hug him, you will never be the same." Astri says, presenting Kenzou to everyone and hugging in search of comfort, too.

"Why not?" Yuki asks.

"You try. He’s a teddy bear. Don’t tell him I told you that." She says, pulling Yuki into the hug.

Yuki feels that even though Kenzou has muscles, he’s warm and soft.

"Oh wow.." Yuki says, hugging him more.

"You told her I’m a teddy bear, didn’t you?" Kenzou asks Astri after seeing Yuki hugging of her own choice and curiosity.

Astri gives him a guilty smile, and he pinches her face, but his heart also melts when Aurora also hugged him with curiosity.

"All right, only you and they can call me that." Kenzou says, hugging them and already loving them as a grandfather.

They spend the rest of the day together. Claud and Kangki had to rest because they literally traveled from 3 places around the world in one day and also created a portal for part of the family to come to Aquaterra.

Astri played with her children and showed Albus and Aurora everyone’s faces when they hatched from their eggs, making them laugh.

"When Aurora hatched and everyone gasped in shock, I was in panic, not understanding ’What?! What happened? What’s wrong?’ Because I didn’t develop my nose well." Astri tells.

She stayed hugged with her spouses, going from one to another. At night, no one wanted a private night. They only wanted to be together with her like old times. And Astri imagined it would be a hard decision for them, but it was easy and fast.

"Claud and Kangki can be the first ones to sleep near Astri and also have their private nights with her. They worked nonstop to make us all feel useful while looking after you. And Claud led us and kept us focused, even though he was also in pain. I believe it’s not something we have to vote for, and all of us agree." Cyprian says.

All the spouses nodded in agreement. Claud and Kangki smiled, happy with what they heard. Claud and Kangki hug her and fall asleep like babies. All of them slept like her scent was the most perfect lullaby.

The bedroom was full of people. During the dawn, Astri feels Reigan coming, walking in her direction, between her and Claud.

She smiles and lets him breastfeed, her spouses watch that scene, so in love. They forgot how beautiful she looked while she was breastfeeding. When Reigan is done, he simply lets go and keeps on sleeping. Shinkou was about to take him, but Tyr took him first and cuddled with him in his arms, bonding with the new cub of the family whom they didn’t have the chance to watch being born. Cyprian was on his side and also watched Reigan smiling, too.

Shinkou is happy to see that the others were warming and bonding with Reigan, worried they would be badly treated for being foxes. He needs to remember that if they’re Astri’s spouses, it’s because they’re good males.
