Beastmen Love-Chapter 168: Proving Her Value

Lee raises his eyebrow, the way Astri always does when she’s getting sick of something.

"A female needs to be worthy to be here? A female is a female." Troy says, angry.

"We have few females because they get sick too easily. I don’t want weak females anymore and spend our time and gems on weak females."

They can see that Bono’s companions don’t agree with his thoughts but simply stay quiet.

"All right. I must say that it is not what you’re imagining." Lee says.

He walks to the carriage, sighing. He looks at Astri, Claud and Kangki. Astri shrugs shoulders. She leaves the carriage and holds Yuki’s hand. Claud and Kangki leave the carriage too, and the boys stay inside, listening to everything.

When she looks at Bono’s eyes and walks in his direction, Bono and his companions are impressed with her beautiful face, eyes, and hair.

"Hello, Leader Bono. It’s an honor to meet you. My name is Astri. And this is my cub Yuki." Astri says, bowing and showing respect, impressing those who don’t know her and how polite she is by bowing to a male.

"You.. Y-You don’t have to use your beauty or be nice to try to seduce me. I don’t want a spouse." Bono says, trying not to stutter.

"I am not. I’m only being respectful. I’m not like other females, Leader Bono. That I can assure you. And when I say different, it’s not only my kind."

He tries to ignore her, but his eyes always come back to hers.

"And the doctors?" Bono asks.

Claud and Zin walk to Astri’s sides.

"I thought you said three." Bono asks Lee.

"I am one of the doctors, Leader Bono." Astri says, shocking them.

"Y-you? It cannot be.."

"Why?"

"Females don’t care about helping. Only care about their own desires. They don’t care about knowledge."

Astri noticed that he has some trauma with females.

"As I said: I’m different. If you wish, I can prove my knowledge of medicine right now."

"How? No one is sick here." Bono snorts, but his eyes always go back to hers like magnets.

"If I give you a full assessment of your entire tribe situation and how you can save your females’ lives, will you let us live near your tribe?"

Astri’s spouses smile, knowing Astri is a master of negotiations.

"Well.. I’m all ears."

"Do I have your word? I am willing to pass my knowledge for free, and if you break your promise I’ll be very disappointed on the untrue tales about your greatness." The way she firmly, and yet kindly, said that made his heart skip a beat.

"You have my word.."

"All right. You mentioned that your females get sick easily and die easily. By the smell I get from here, your tribe is very dirty and disgusting, if I may say my thoughts. Living around your own dejects can bring symptoms such as: liquid poop, stomach ache, nausea, vomiting, worms in your belly, skin diseases, and death if any are not being treated. And looking at the feet of some of your warriors, I can see rashes on their feet, and some of their lips lost their color, so very soon even your males will be sick. An easy way to prevent getting sick is building a sandbox on the size of my leg at least, to poop and pee on it. Once full, take it to a far area of the tribe and dispose of the dirty sand so the rain will wash it. Take new sand and put it in the box, and that’s it. This change on its own will save many lives. In addition, if the females and males start bathing at least 3 in 3 days, it will also make them live longer. I also suggest eating more than meat to have nutrients from fruits and vegetables." Astri speaks nonstop.

The other dinosaurs and Skalven knew she had knowledge, but hearing her was still amazing.

"If your females die easily. Cubs might die easily too. They’re not weak, they’re just living somewhere that will kill them. The probability of them dying in a dirty environment is higher than living on their own and away from the village. Also, there’s nothing we can do to treat them if they keep living in the dirt. Three, you work too much because you don’t have enough resources to maintain your village, resulting in forcing you to work nonstop."

The last option had directly hit Bono’s pride, and everyone saw that the third option was the reason because he growled in response.

"I’m only exposing facts. Luckily, they’re all treatable, and we can easily solve the issues with some changes. Please, don’t growl at my cub’s direction." Astri says.

Bono stopped quickly, he didn’t notice he was growling. Astri smells the soap again, she can’t get used to that horrible smell that is coming from them and the tribe.

"What is that thing you’re smelling?" Bono asks.

"Soap. I made these myself. It is for washing your body and getting clean. I’m smelling it because the smell of your tribe is too bad and is making me want to vomit, if I may say it." She answers, then throws the soap at him.

He grabs it and smells it. It carries a good scent of flowers, and could scent it on her scent. He was impressed with how good she smells even without getting close to her.

"We have more to sell. As my spouse said before, we have several products to sell." She says.

"All these males are your spouses?" Bono asks.

"No. The loves of my life are Wayde, Dieg, Lee, Zin, Cyprian, Claud, Beau, Tyr, Koa and Kangki. In the sequence of who is my spouse longer." Astri points at them.

"Loves of your life?" Bono and his warriors ask in unison.

"Yes. Boys? Come out!"

Elias and Kai jump out of the carriage, and then Hopin goes down, carrying Atlas.

"Those are the other loves of my life. Hopin is the oldest and is carrying Atlas. Elias and Kai are brothers of the same litter as Yuki here. Hopin is adoptive, but I see him as my own son, in case you’re asking where his father is." Astri points at each of them.

No one can deny that not only the cubs but all of those males look strong and healthy. Even if they’re not dinosaurs. Bono can sense that they’re more than what they look, especially the female in front of him.

"All right. You convinced me. You’re welcome to stay. I’ll get you a house." Bono says, then walks to Astri and gives back the soap to her.

He’s huge in front of her. He towers over her, but she’s not scared; neither is Yuki. Yuki being as sensitive as her mother, already felt he’s a hurt male, not only having full understanding of the situation or how to react.

"I have a request. In exchange, I’ll give you part of my medicines if you do it." Astri says.

"What is it?"

She smiles and nods.

"Clean the house we’re staying in. Wash and remove all dejects and trash from it. Clean it until this smell is not even a faint memory. Clean the whole village, or at least the roads. None of us came here to become sick. It is for your own good as well." She says.

"Your males can clean it."

"They can, and they will lead you to know how to clean it. But none will touch the ground. Lee and Cyprian will lead you. The rest will wait here. I would like a wide area for us to build a place for our guards to stay. We will need other areas, but that can be discussed later." ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

"..All right. Anything else?" He asks, actually sarcastic.

"I do have another request. If it’s too much for you to handle, we can do it ourselves."

"Ask already!"

"We would like to meet your Elder. Once our place is clean, and we’re living there, would you please introduce him to us?"

His face now showed no emotion, but in his eyes, Astri could see the pain. He couldn’t hold his eyes on her, afraid of her deep analytic eyes.

"He does not carry power here. He’s sick." He answers.

"I see. Either way, we would like to meet him. As doctors, it’s our duty to make sure of the well-being of the tribe. Now, if I may. We will stay a bit further from the tribe village until our home is ready. Thank you." Astri says and bows slightly before walking back to the carriage. She calls Lee and Cyprian before she goes inside with the children.

"Choose a house the furthest away from the center. Make sure we can have a garden in the space, if not, make sure it’s possible to widen the area." She says to them.

"We know. You didn’t have to say that." Cyprian chuckles.

"True. You all know me too much." She smiles, then gives both a kiss on the lips, impressing whoever was watching and didn’t know she is kind to all her males.

Lee and Cyprian walk to Bono and wait for him. Bono takes a last glance at Astri before she goes inside the carriage, and then he starts to walk away.
