Beastmen Love-Chapter 149: Tame The Fear

Astri wanted to make breakfast the next day but slept late and her spouses prepared it. She had breakfast with Atlas and Yuki, but her spouses were drooling at her.

"What?" She asks them.

"Fathers love you!" Yuki smiles.

"We do!" They answer, giggling.

They actually had their moment of falling in love with her all over again, but they are also fixing in their memories the reason they would fight in two days.

"I hate to be the one to bring this, but let’s see how everything is being set for the attack. Kangki and Claud, you stay with Astri." Lee says, hating to stand up and leave.

The others too, but they didn’t question anything because of its great importance. They give her a kiss goodbye before leaving.

"I love this silence." Kangki says, more relaxed.

"Father Kangki and Father Claud are very different from the others. You like quiet and silence." Hopin chuckles.

"Everyone is different, sweetheart. Wayde is also more serious, he’s just more adjustable. Before meeting everyone I would rather stay alone as well. Now I love how lively our family is." Astri says giving a piece of fruit to Atlas and Yuki.

"Mom.. What will you do if this attack really happens?" Kai asks.

Elias, Kai, and Hopin are very mature and they understand that something very serious and dangerous is coming up. Kangki and Claud look at her, also wanting to hear her answer.

"What I have to do."

"What did he ask?" Hopin asks, and Yuki repeats for him, and now Hopin is also looking at Astri with worried eyes.

"Don’t worry, babies. Everything is going to be fine. Your fathers are very strong and will protect us. I’ll do anything only if it’s necessary." She affects her sons’ heads.

"We are the males here. We have to protect you." Elias says, making Astri chuckles.

"A mother will always protect her cubs, sweetheart. Always."

"Females can fight. Mom fights." Yuki says.

"It’s true. Females can be strong, smart, and capable of being leaders. However, a female is rarer to be born than males. And males’ natural instinct is to protect females. Females and males have natural roles, natural missions. But one thing they need to do in common, and that is to love each other." Astri explains.

Claud and Kangki could see clearly in her mind that if something happens she will fight without a second thought.

"You saw the same thing I saw, right?" Kangki asks in Claud’s mind.

"Yes... You and I need to have a plan. The others are stronger now, but you and I are the only ones who can avoid her to act and risk her life." Claud says in his mind.

"I agree.."

Two more days pass. Lee could have his night with her finally and he makes love to her like it could be the last time.

While she’s resting on his chest, he’s deep in thought. Feeling the pressure of having to worry about his spouse and also the whole tribe. He wonders if it’s that kind of pressure Astri feels being Nature’s Daughter.

"Is there something I can do to help you relax more, love?" Astri asks him, sensing his worried thoughts.

He smiles and kisses her head, and she looks up at him and he can see her beautiful unique eyes.

"I worry I won’t be enough. That I won’t be good enough. Or strong enough. I can’t even imagine the pressure you have being who you are." He admits, passing his hand on her face.

"You’re enough. You’re strong, my love. Everything happens for a reason, and you taking this part as one of the main leaders means something bigger than you imagine. You, and the others are amazing leaders, and you working together means way more than simply protecting our home. It will be a statement that no matter what evil comes, they will not win. Even when we’re not here, evil won’t have our tribes because you empowered them and not only you. Worrying about not being good enough is a proof that you care and will do your best. And they will do the same." She explains, and then kisses his lips.

Whenever he’s worried or not believing in himself, she never fails on making him look up and feel stronger. He kisses her back feeling more reassured, he worships her once again and then both fall asleep hugging each other.

Another wooden wall was raised on the front entrance, and other walls around the perimeter of the tribes were raised at the weakest points of the walls to create layers of protection to make it harder to get inside the stone wall.

Lee and Cyprian organized the sky warriors. Wayde, Tyr, Beau, and Koa organized the land warriors. Zin and Dieg organized the underground area where the females would hide with the children in case the worst happened and monsters got inside.

Astri is very proud of her spouses. They might sound like they’re doing this for her, but she knows they’re defending their people. Claud and Kangki secretly create a plan of action in case the others need their help, but they will stay at home to protect her and the cubs with Galion and Saul.

Claud asked Zin to create a tunnel that leads to behind the castle, so they can run away. They also ordered Galion and Saul to take her and the cubs away in Galion’s dragon form if Claud tells them to do so.

Astri knows Claud and Kangki are planning things on their own, but she rather let them be and trust their choices. Claud and Kangki are opposites, but very similar at the same time, working very well together.

Claud and Kangki can feel that the horde is getting near. Sky warriors could already see it coming and the tension between the warriors is almost as solid as a blade. Astri was watching them from the backdoor, sensing everyone’s tension. Slowly she comes closer to where her spouses are with the warriors.

For some reason, the warriors looked at Astri after some comforting, and she smiled at them granting them their desire.

"You look so calm, Lady Astri. How can you be so calm knowing we will be facing so many monsters?" A warrior asks.

"Fear is natural because if you know how to use it you will find the best path. However, if you let the fear disturb your mind it will be like a disturbed lake. You will look inside of it and will see nothing. If you allow the water to settle, the water will be clear. Let your minds settle so you can see your path clear. I trust all of you. I’m sure you all will be fine and will defend our home." She answers them with a calm voice.

Her voice was enough to calm their hearts and minds, and her words made them sure of themselves. They leave and go to their positions and wait for the signal.

"Yank, Xzan and Dante, come here, please." Astri calls Yank. "Today you will see things you never saw and that most people here never saw."

Xzan, Dante, Shung, and Yank were there too, making the final adjustments with Astri’s spouses.

"What I need you to do is: trust my spouses. No matter what happens." She affirms.

"You better stay here. Last time you stepped into a battle you were brought far away and it was hard to take you back." Shung mentions the time Kangki kidnapped her.

"Don’t worry. I’m sure that nothing like that will happen." She chuckles.

Her spouses go to her, and each of them hugs and kisses her to gather strength from her.

"You’re the bests. I want all of you back for dinner. I love you all." She says.

They chuckle and nod.

"Claud and Kangki.. Protect our home." Zin says, referring to Astri and the cubs.

"Always." They answer.

They go to their positions, spread on the front of the gate behind the new walls. Cyprian and Lee fly in the sky, watching the horde of monsters coming like a group of bloodthirsty beasts. Behind the huge horde, they can see a group of bigger beats and some they can’t recognize what they are. They look like rhinos with deformed faces and taller front legs.

"Those Monsters on the back were created by mixing land and underground monsters. They’re strong and dangerous but lack intelligence. They’re with the Princes to open their path to us." Kangki explains to his companions in their minds.

"I can’t see the worm. Is it really here?" Lee asks.

"The worm will appear. Follow the plan."

"Remember, you must take down the Princes first because they can open portals to get more Monsters." Claud tells them.

"The trees are saying something is shaking underground." Wayde says to Tyr on his side.

"It must be the worm."

Lee watches the monsters running fast at them, like waiting for them to appear in the perfect spot. From nowhere, the monsters fell inside a long trench that was hidden with a thin layer of earth. Zin made the trench with his powers and that’s why it didn’t look like a normal trench.

Lee screeches loudly, giving the sign to the sky warriors to attack. Several warriors flew to the trench and attacked the monsters, and Cyprian spitting fire to take them down as fast as possible.

On the other side, there were 9 princes of monsters and the new king. The king shows his evil smile with pointy teeth. His eyes have a tone of sick green, his body has very pale skin that his veins look almost like faded tattoos and his black hair is long and messy.

"Smart. They must be delusional thinking they have any chance against us. This place will be our new den, and that’s a final word." He says and nods to the others, giving the order they were waiting for.
