The room darkened as the floor of the Luxoria Arena shifted.

L-Snake and L-Drake stood still, facing each other.

High above them, Lucius and Liline watched silently.

L-Drake rolled his shoulders.

His heavy armor plates clicked into place.

"Ready?" he said in a calm, deep voice.

L-Snake shifted his foot back, tail coiling.

His eyes glowed. "Let's begin."

Then—they moved.

L-Snake darted forward first, fast and low.

His body twisted, shifting into half-snake form.

Blades extended from his arms. His tail swept the floor, sharp and fast.

L-Drake stepped to the side and raised one arm.

CLANG!

L-Snake's arm-blade hit his steel forearm and sparked.

"Still fast," L-Drake said, holding his ground.

"Still solid," L-Snake replied, pulling back and flipping over him.

L-Snake's body rotated midair.

His tail shot out like a whip.

L-Drake ducked, then rushed in.

BOOM!

His shoulder slammed into L-Snake's side, sending him skidding across the ground.

But L-Snake stopped himself, coils grinding against the floor.

He turned and hissed, then grinned. "Good hit."

L-Drake's fists glowed with Luxorite energy.

"Not enough," he said, charging again.

L-Snake spun into full serpent form now.

His body grew longer, shifting into his war serpent form.

He was covered in segmented metal armor, with glowing light coils.

He slithered fast around the arena's edges, leaving static sparks behind him.

L-Drake's eyes narrowed.

He dropped to a crouch.

"Fortress Mode."

His back shifted.

Armor plates locked. His arms expanded.

His body bulked up with layered protection.

Two Luxorite cannons slid from his shoulders.

L-Snake struck again—this time faster.

SLASH!

His blades sparked against L-Drake's chest.

But L-Drake didn't budge.

He raised one clawed hand and grabbed L-Snake's tail mid-swing.

Then, with a grunt, he swung L-Snake into the wall.

CRASH!

The wall cracked.

L-Snake reformed instantly, sliding backward into a defensive coil.

"Your defense got better," he said.

L-Drake smirked. "Your aim didn't."

L-Snake narrowed his eyes. "Then I'll correct it."

Suddenly, his arms retracted and shifted—becoming two long-linked whip blades.

He spun.

The blades extended, wrapping around L-Drake's cannon arm and legs.

WHIP—WHIP—CRACK!

L-Drake roared, trying to move, but the coils tightened.

L-Snake's body glowed brighter.

"Coil Lock—Activate."

He pulled, throwing L-Drake forward.

He then leapt into the air with both feet glowing.

"Final Coil Kick."

L-Snake slammed his body into L-Drake's chest, breaking the hold.

BOOM.

L-Drake's heavy body crashed across the stone floor, sparks flying from his armor.

The metal plates on his chest hissed from the impact of L-Snake's kick.

He growled low, pushing himself up with one massive clawed arm.

"Damn it," L-Drake muttered, steam rising from his back.

"I need to be more serious."

Across the arena, L-Snake slithered back and forth in his full serpent warform.

His voice was calm. Cold.

"You should've known I wouldn't hold back."

L-Drake cracked his knuckles, and his armor plates shifted.

"Fine then."

He slammed his claws into the ground. The battlefield trembled.

"Overcast Boost—Reinforced Shell Mode."

His armor thickened. Turret plates folded out from his shoulders.

His tail split into a wide battering blade.

And from his chest, a glowing Luxorite sigil flared.

THUMP. THUMP.

His heavy feet stomped forward.

L-Snake narrowed his eyes.

"Let's see if that armor can hold up."

He launched forward in a blur of silver coils.

WHIP—CLANG—CRASH!

L-Snake's tail smashed into L-Drake's side. It dented the armor but didn't pierce it.

L-Drake didn't move.

He grabbed L-Snake's neck mid-swing and slammed him into the floor.

"Got you."

He didn't stop.

L-Drake lifted L-Snake again and threw him into the wall.

CRASH!

Stone cracked. Metal shrieked.

L-Snake's massive body curled midair and caught itself.

He hissed, now circling L-Drake fast.

He was spinning around him like a loop.

L-Drake tried to turn, but L-Snake was too fast.

"Too slow," L-Snake said.

"Tail Gun Array—Open."

Suddenly, segments along L-Snake's back and tail popped open.

It revealed six embedded laser cannons.

They all fired at once.

Z-Z-Z-Z-Z-ZZZAP!

L-Drake raised his arms to block, but the energy pushed him back step by step.

He growled, lowering his arms.

"Alright then…"

"Judgment Core—Stabilize."

From his chest, a circular core opened—glowing like molten fire.

"Your lasers won't stop this."

He jumped forward, spinning once, and brought his tail blade down like a war axe.

L-Snake blocked with his upper coil, sparks flying. freeωebnovēl.c૦m

But the weight forced him to the ground.

L-Drake landed and pushed harder.

"Fall already!"

"Not yet," L-Snake hissed.

He fired a point-blank cannon from beneath his own neck, blasting L-Drake off him.

Both warriors skidded back.

They stood still, eyes locked.

---

Lucius stood at the observation deck, hands behind his back.

He was watching the sparks and shockwaves rise from the arena floor.

A faint smile touched his lips.

He glanced at Liline, who floated calmly beside him.

"What do you think, Liline?" he asked.

She tilted her head slightly, eyes still fixed on the fight.

"They're powerful."

"Even an SS-Rank Sovereign beast wouldn't last long in front of them."

Lucius nodded slowly.

"Of course. I made them strong."

"Strong enough to be the peak of SS Divine-Tier. It was not just for show."

"They're soldiers. Precision and pressure."

Another clash echoed from the arena below.

L-Snake had wrapped around L-Drake's arm again, and L-Drake countered with a shoulder slam that cracked the ground.

Liline didn't blink.

"But," Lucius added, voice calm, "I think I can make them better."

Liline looked at him. "Even stronger?"

Lucius smirked. "Always."

He leaned forward slightly, watching as the two warriors broke apart and circled each other again.

"For now," he said, "let's enjoy the show. Let them push each other."

He turned slightly toward Liline. "Also, call the others here. Loreia, Luna, Liora."

"But not Fiona or Fifi," he added. "Let them rest."

Liline nodded. "Right away, Master."

She disappeared into the air, vanishing like mist.

Lucius smirked to himself. "Let the family see what my new divine soldiers look like."

Down below, L-Snake and L-Drake clashed again, power shaking the ground.

The real show had only begun.
