Bastard Homunculus: Reborn in the Corpse Pit-Chapter 144: The Vengeful Elf(Part 4)
Chapter 144: Chapter 144: The Vengeful Elf(Part 4)
Raven opened his jaws and unleashed a wide, blanketing poison mist towards Leptar, who swiftly raced away to evade it, before grimacing as he inhaled a bit of the poison, his vision blurring as he movements grew slightly unsteady.
Raven rapidly zipped towards him at top speed, firing out a blazing stream of pressurized flames from the soles of his feet to boost himself, before coating his right fist in lightning as he drew back his arm.
As he closed in on Leptar, he swung his fist forward with all his strength while firing out a burst of flames from his elbow to boost his strike further, let out a roar of exertion as Leptar unsteadily raised his right hand up defensively, but he was a fraction too slow to react.
Raven’s fist struck the Elf’s fingers as he failed to fully raise his hand up in time, a couple of his fingers breaking with sharp crunches upon impact, the momentum through Raven’s fist slowing slightly before slamming against the right side of Leptar’s face.
His head sharply jerked across to the left as Raven’s fist collided against his right cheek with a powerful impact, before he got sent hurtling across to his left, skidding across the ground with immense speed.
He then gritted his teeth before twisting his body across and jamming his fingers into the ground, skidding across the dirt and bringing himself to a halt.
Blood trickled out the corner of his mouth as he spat out a couple of broken teeth, before his eyes widened in surprise as he lifted his gaze right in time to see Raven detaching and launching his right forearm straight towards him rapidly, which shot through the air towards Leptar like an arrow.
The Elf swiftly got back onto his feet as his innate healing ability nullified the poison, before crossing his arms in front of himself as Raven’s detached arm closed in on him, slamming against his forearms with a painful thud, fracturing a couple of bones.
"You certainly pack quite a punch, don’t you?" Chuckled Leptar, spitting out some blood as his teeth grew back, while Raven regenerated his right forearm.
"I’m just getting started," Responded Raven with an icy glare, before he flew up and fired out another blast of poison mist down towards Leptar.
As the mist closed in on him, Leptar swiftly raised his arms and slammed his palms together, triggering an intense gust of wind that blew away the mist before it could reach him.
"Damn it, I can’t overdo the poison mist, it’ll spread out and end up affecting everyone else," Raven thought to himself, before secreting his venom over his claws as he swooped down towards Leptar with all the speed he could generate.
He slashed at the Elf with the claws on his left hand as he closed in, but Leptar was quick to evade it, before grabbing Raven’s wrist and swinging him around, and then swung him down towards the ground with immense strength.
Raven braced himself as his body slammed onto the dirt with crushing force, letting out a sharp gasp before Leptar began repeatedly slamming him against the ground over and over, Raven’s vision blurring severely as each slam dazed him further and further, his bones rattled and his body throbbing with pain.
Leptar then tightened his grip as he lifted Raven high up before swinging him down with all his strength, Raven crashing onto the ground with a devastating impact.
Bits of dirt and grass flew out in all directions as a deep crater formed across the ground, wide cracks spreading out from the point of impact as Raven let out a weak groan, barely conscious as his transformation receded, a trickle of blood running down the corner of his mouth.
Leptar then let go of Raven’s wrist, smirking as Raven lay sprawled across the bottom of the crater, trembling in pain.
"Alright, then...time to die," Remarked Leptar with a cold smile, raising his foot over Raven’s throat.
As he began to drive his foot down, he froze before quickly turning across to his left as a rapid projectile of purple energy came shooting towards his head.
As it closed in on him, he quickly swung his arm up and across, aiming to bat the projectile away...as the back of his hand struck the energy, he let out a startled cry as it exploded fiercely upon impact, blasting his hand to bits and blowing him away several meters through the air.
Blood poured out of the stump left around his wrist as he came to a screeching halt across the dirt, before he got back onto his feet with a pained grimace as his hand regenerated, a bead of sweat running down the side of his face as he turned his gaze towards Celia with a murderous look in his eyes.
He then clicked his tongue in irritation as several First Stage Warriors entered the fray and surrounded him, keeping their distance as they began to charge up Spells and take aim.
"Tch...well, this turned out to be rather boring and anticlimactic, I really had hoped it’d be more satisfying than this. Now, I could easily just killed everyone here and be done with it, but that won’t sate the immense rage and hatred I’ve harbored for all these decades.
Hm...alright, then, I’ll give you a chance! I’ll take my leave for today, and I shall return in two days from now! Use that time that better prepare yourselves, at least enough to put on a better showing. Do your best to at least give me a bit of a challenge before I kill you...because if you fail to do so, rest assured, I will make you regret the fact that you did not die today," Stated Leptar icily, before starting to take a step towards the forest.
"Not so fast! Do you really think we’ll let you just walk away after what you’ve done here!? We will not allow you to-...!" Snapped one of the First Stage Warriors, before he was abruptly cut off as Leptar shot towards him with blinding speed, closing in on him and grabbing hold of his neck before he could react, before ripping his throat out with a violent pull.
The Warrior stumped back as he desperately gasped for air, blood pouring down his chest as he collapsed onto his knees and hit the ground with a thud, a puddle of blood forming across the dirt below him before slowly seeping in.
The other First Stage Warriors instinctively backed away as Leptar turned around and glanced at each of them, meeting their gaze and daring them to attack him.
He then smirked as none of them made a move, before starting to head for the trees...
"You damned coward! You dare leave after the atrocities you’ve committed here!?" Suddenly snapped one of the Elders.
"Hm? Hahaha...hahahaha...HAHAHAHA!!! Are you being serious!?" Cackled Leptar, before his expression darkened into a cold glare as he narrowed his eyes at the Elder, continuing, "Are you stupid? You should be thanking me for this act of mercy...I’ve been so gracious as to give you worthless bastards two whole days to live before your inevitable deaths. Like I said before, I could easily just kill you all right here and now...especially with all the strongest among you rendered unconscious. I had no obligation to do this, such mercy is far more than your deserve. So, if you’d prefer not to die in this very moment, I suggest shutting the fuck up."
"H-How dare you...," Growled the Elder furiously.
"Uh, maybe provoking him isn’t the best move right now," Implored Lyra nervously.
"She’s right, just hold your tongue," Nodded one of the other Elders in agreement.
"Well, at least some of you have a semblance of common sense. You should take their advice and keep your rotten mouth shut," Smirked Leptar tauntingly.
"I...I will not be ordered around by the likes of you, you’re nothing but a-...!" Began the Elder, before trailing off as Leptar shook his head with a sigh and shot towards the Elder with immense speed.
The Elder began to try and scramble out of the way in alarm, but he was too slow to react, as Leptar closed in on him and grabbed the top of his head, before crushing it as he sharply tightened his grip.
Blood, chunks of brain and skull fragments flew out and splattered across the other Elders, as Celia, Colt and Tilda swiftly covered Lyra, eyeing Leptar warily as a stifling tension filled the air.
"Can’t say I didn’t warn him. Now, does anyone else have anything to say? No? Good. I’ll be back in two days...I look forward to it," He remarked with a smirk, before shaking the blood of his hands as he headed for the forest, disappearing through the trees as he took one last glance back at the carnage he’d left in his wake, a malevolent smile spreading out across his lips...
