Awakening The Only SSS-Rank Class! Now Even Dragons Obey Me-Chapter 99: Alice Is In Real Danger
Daniel and Joe, after hearing the voice on the other end of the line, immediately rushed toward their cars without hesitation.
"Let's take my car," Joe said, gesturing toward his vehicle. If they went with Daniel's car, it would definitely take much longer.
"Give me the keys," Daniel agreed but told Joe to hand over the car keys.
Joe sighed. He knew that giving the keys might mean it was his last day alive, but he had no other choice. He tossed the keys toward Daniel and got into the car.
Daniel got in too, started the engine, pulled out of the parking spot, and hit the road toward the academy.
"Slow down, you maniac! I swear I'm still too young to die!" Joe shouted in fear mid-drive due to Daniel's driving.
The car was comfortably going at 300 km/h. If it went just a little faster, it could probably take off and fly.
Daniel ignored him and even pushed the speed further.
"God, please save me..."
It didn't take long—what should've been a 45-minute trip only took them 10 minutes. They arrived at their destination and immediately got out of the car and headed into the academy.
"Where can I find the academy director?" Daniel approached a staff member and asked.
"Huh? Mr. Noir? You can find the director in the training hall downstairs," the staff member was briefly confused at first, but after realizing who it was, answered without hesitation.
Daniel thanked her and immediately headed for the stairs with Joe. Though, going downstairs felt harder than an Olympic challenge for Joe.
They both looked at the signs, found the direction to the training hall, and entered. But as soon as they stepped in, a few guards stopped them.
"Sorry, entry is currently restricted. Please leave," one of the guards said after looking at Daniel and Joe.
"Get the hell out of my way," Daniel wasn't in the mood at all and bluntly said: either move or get wrecked.
"If you don't leave, we'll have to use force."
Daniel's eyes began to glow faintly with killing intent, but before he could do anything, a deep elderly voice echoed from across the hall.
"It's fine. They're friends of mine."
The guards stepped aside after hearing the voice. Though Daniel frowned when he recognized it… that voice—it belonged to the head of the Awakened Association.
What the hell was he doing here?
Daniel spotted August's figure a little ways off and immediately rushed toward him.
"Mr. August, what are you doing here?"
"Relax, kid. There's a small issue with your sister—or more precisely, her whole class," August sighed and replied.
"Is my sister okay?" Daniel asked with worry. A bad feeling was growing in his gut.
"Don't worry. Just come with me," August turned around and began walking.
Daniel and Joe exchanged a glance and followed him without hesitation.
It didn't take long before they reached a spot where several guards, along with academy instructors and administrators, were standing in front of a glowing blue portal.
"You're back, August… So this is the boy you talked about," one of the figures there—an old man around the same age as August—spoke up as soon as they arrived.
The man had short white hair and no beard. Both Daniel and Joe recognized him, mainly because they'd seen him on the city's news before.
He was the head of the academy.
"Yeah. He's the older brother of your favorite student," August said with a faint smile.
"Instead of this dumb small talk, can someone tell me what happened to my sister?" Daniel couldn't hold back anymore and asked in a cold tone.
Feeling his voice, the teachers and administrators looked at him. How dare this kid talk like that in front of two of the city's most powerful men?
But Daniel didn't care in the slightest what they thought. The only thing that mattered to him was his sister's safety.
"My apologies, young man. My name is Philip, and I'm the head of the Awakened Academy of Saintkiss," the old man looked at Daniel and spoke with a polite smile.
"Hello, Mr. Philip. I'm Daniel Noir."
"I know. August talks about you a lot... Anyway, let's get to the point. Normally we wouldn't have contacted you because this is something we should handle ourselves." fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
"But when I called my friend August and explained the situation, he told me it'd be best to contact you and explain what happened," Philip said.
"And? What the hell happened?" Daniel was starting to think this old bastard was stalling on purpose.
"Today was the final practical exam for your sister's class. For the exam, they were supposed to enter a red-ranked training dungeon, which is equivalent to rank F—and they did. But once they entered, the dungeon's rank suddenly spiked up to blue, which is equivalent to rank B."
"...."
"You're kidding me, right?" Daniel thought his ears were playing tricks on him.
But Philip and August didn't reply—only gave bitter smiles.
"You sent a bunch of rank F students into a rank B dungeon? That's basically throwing sheep into a den of wolves!"
"That's enough! We didn't do this on purpose! Watch your tone, young man," one of the instructors, a young woman, suddenly spoke up.
Daniel gave her a cold glare that, for a moment, sent a shiver through her bones. She was shocked—how could a look from a rank D awaken such fear in her?
"My sister is in that dungeon, and you're telling me to watch my tone?"
"Well, Mr. Noir, we are very sorry. But we're doing everything we can to rescue them," Philip cut in, trying to calm the situation.
"Can't you just send one of the instructors into the dungeon to bring the students out?" Joe, who'd been silent till now, suddenly asked.
All eyes turned to him for a moment, but he couldn't care less.
"It's possible to do that. But the question is—how do we get them out? To exit, the dungeon either needs to be cleared or each student needs to have an exit key."
"To clear this dungeon, we'd need at least a group of three rank B awakened. But the dungeon has a twelve-person entry limit, and eleven students are already inside. That means we can only send one rank B in."
"As for the keys, we don't have eleven of them to give," August explained this time.
