The car hums softly as Kieran drives, the road stretching ahead of them in the afternoon light.

The atmosphere is relaxed, comfortable, filled with casual conversation and the occasional teasing remark.

Ace leans back in his seat, glancing sideways at Kieran. "So... something weird happened during my exam."

Kieran keeps his eyes on the road but smirks. "Weird how? Did you answer all the questions with my name?"

Ace snorts. "What? Noo..." Ace laughs.

Kieran chuckles at Ace’s laugh, he can’t help but look at him_ the sight of Ace laughing_ summons emotions in him.

He wants to hear him laugh again and again.

"My powers did something unexpected." Ace says after recovering from Kieran’s lame Joke.

That gets Kieran’s full attention. He briefly glances at Ace before focusing back on the road. "What do you mean?"

Ace crosses his arms, letting the moment build for dramatic effect. "Guess."

Kieran raises an eyebrow. "Did you accidentally set the exam paper on fire?"

"Nope."

"Did they push you to calling my name loudly absent mindedly?"

"No! Oh God, you really think highly of your self, don’t you?" Ace says laughing at that too.

Kieran frowns in thought. "Did you... read everyone’s minds to steal their answers?"

Ace rolls his eyes. "Kieran!"

"What? You told me to guess, so am trying."

Ace chuckles before finally revealing it. "They actually helped me cheat on one of the questions."

Kieran jerks the wheel slightly. "What? You mean you can do that with your powers?!"

"I didn’t cheat on purpose! I was just messing around, trying to distract myself, and somehow, but when I put my mind to what I wanted_ they led me right to the Library_ to the right book! The answer literally appeared in my head!"

Kieran stares at him in disbelief. "You... used your supernatural abilities to cheat on a test?"

Ace shrugs, grinning. "One question. Just one. For fun."

Kieran shakes his head, looking both amused and exasperated. "That’s it. I’m reporting you to the administration."

Ace gasps, playing along. "You wouldn’t dare."

"Oh, I would," Kieran says, smirking. "Ace Carter, expelled for magical misconduct. You actually cheated in exams!?"

Ace huffs. "Ugh! Stop already, I shouldn’t have even told you! You’re the worst."

"And yet, you love me."

Ace mumbles something under his breath, looking away.

Kieran leans closer. "What was that?"

"Nothing!"

Kieran laughs, and the sound fills the car, making Ace’s chest feel warm.

Kieran keeps glancing at Ace_ his flushed cheeks, the way he bites his lip when he’s thinking, the mark on his neck barely hidden by his collar.

It’s distracting.

Too distracting.

As they approach a red light, Kieran’s grip tightens on the steering wheel. "I can’t take this anymore."

Ace blinks. "Take what?"

Kieran doesn’t answer.

Instead, he pulls into to the side of the road, and turns to Ace with a dark, unreadable expression.

Ace barely has time to react before Kieran reaches for him, his hand curling around the back of Ace’s neck, pulling him in.

Their lips crash together in a heated kiss, all restraint snapping like a thread pulled too tight.

Ace makes a startled sound before melting into it, his fingers digging into Kieran’s shirt.

The car is suddenly too small, too warm.

Kieran deepens the kiss, his other hand sliding around Ace’s waist, tugging him closer. Ace gasps against his lips.

Kieran’s hand goes under Ace’s t-shirt, Kieran tries until he finds himself on top of Ace.

When his hand moves to his pants, Ace stop him. "We can’t, not here." Ace says, smirking at how Kieran is looking in need of him right now.

Kieran pulls back slightly.

"Can we ju..."

"No, we can’t." Ace cuts him before he even knows what he was going to say.

"Okay" Kieran says in surrender, his thumb brushing over Ace’s swollen lips.

Kieran sighs, resting his forehead against Ace’s for a moment before reluctantly pulling back and starting the car again.

They drive off, the air between them charged with warmth, Kieran keeps avoiding to look at Ace.

It doesn’t take long before the hotel looms before them.

It buzzes with activity as Ace and Kieran step inside.

Employees move briskly through the halls, checking schedules, answering calls, and assisting guests.

Despite the rush, the moment Ace appears, heads turn.

"Ace! Where did you disappear to? You always vanished into thin air?" one of the workers calls out playfully.

Meanwhile, some of the female employees don’t even try to be discreet as they eye Kieran.

Their gazes are long, lingering, and absolutely filled with desire.

Ace clenches his jaw. He knows Kieran belongs to him, but damn, did they have to stare that obviously?

"Gosh! I can’t take this anymore!" He finds himself saying it aloud.

"What?" Kieran asks teasingly, knowing exactly what Ace is talking about.

Ace doesn’t answer.

"Do you want me to kiss you right now so that they know am claimed and marked?" Kieran jokes, making Ace chuckle_ embarrassedly.

When they pass Ace’s office, Ace slows down for a moment, glancing at it. He hasn’t been here in a while, and though everything is running smoothly without him, it still feels strange to be away for so long.

Shaking off the thought, he follows Kieran to Jun’s office. They don’t bother knocking

_Ace is too comfortable here for that.

The door swings open, and_

"Oh my God!" Ace exclaims, immediately covering his eyes.

Jun and Rey are tangled together in a heated kiss, their bodies pressed close, clearly lost in their own world.

"I thought you were dying with work here! I literally ran over to help, and you’re busy... making out with this idiot!" Ace scolds dramatically.

Jun doesn’t even look flustered as he pulls away from Rey, a lazy smirk on his lips. "First, am going to fire you. So stop talking much now."

Ace scoffs. Ignoring Jun. "Rey! You gotta stop coming here. At this rate, you’re gonna wear out Jun before he even finishes work."

Rey grins. "Can’t help it."

Kieran crosses his arms. "Speaking of you, Rey, didn’t I leave you at the mansion? How the hell did you get here so fast? Are you forgetting your duties?! I never understand you two, do you carry each other’s oxygen? Since you can’t stay away from each other."

Rey shrugs. "Speaking of you... do I smell love in the air?"

Kieran’s and Ace’s faces burn up immediately.

Jun squints, studying them, then gasps dramatically. "Oh my God. They made up! You two finally agreed to be together?! HOLY COW! Finally! I was seriously getting tired of your fights!"

Kieran groans. "No one asked you to be tired over it."

"Oh yeah?!" Jun snaps back. "Now you wanna talk like that, Kieran? After all I’ve endured with you? I can’t even count how many times you whined at me_ ’Oh, I don’t know what to do, I just want Ace so much...’" Jun mimics Kieran’s deep voice mockingly.

Rey bursts out laughing, Ace shies away while kieran retorts, "Alright, shut up, peacock."

Rey instantly glares. "Hey, Mr. Alpha, I told you not to call him that."

Jun smirks. "Yeah, babe, tell him."

Ace laughs, shaking his head. Jun and Rey really fit each other. No ’buts’ at all.

Before Kieran can snap back at Jun, the door opens again, and Elira steps inside, carrying a few files.

She pauses when she sees Ace and Kieran, her gaze lingering on her son.

A slow smile spreads across her lips. "Well, well. I see someone’s glowing with happiness today." she teases.

Ace blinks. "Huh?"

She chuckles. "Kieran..." she calls in acknowledgement.

Kieran nodes.

Elira straightens. "Actually, I wanted to tell you_ I’ll be leaving early today."

Jun raises an eyebrow. "Oh? What’s the occasion?"

Elira smiles softly. "It’s our anniversary. Marsel and I... actually, it’s a dinner that we want you to come and join us in, we’ll make something special."

Jun grins. "I’m in."

Rey claps. "Count me in too."

Elira chuckles. "I expected no less from you two." She turns to Ace and Kieran. "Will you come?"

Ace glances at Kieran, who nods.

"Of course," Ace says.

Elira smiles, pleased. "Good. Then we’ll see you later." She gives Ace one last knowing look before leaving.

As the door closes, Jun crosses his arms. "So... you two are definitely together now, huh?"

Ace groans. "Oh God...! You two are so annoying!"

Rey grins, then starts a song which Jun joins him in singing. "Love is in the air, oh oh love... my love...."

Kieran sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose. "I regret coming here."

Jun smirks. "Too late now."

For once life feels worth living to Kieran, Ace and Jun.

Even as they tease each other, deep down they feel this deeply. Seeing each other happy, each contented with where he is, is really satisfying.

For a moment Jun realises, Ace has always been special to him in a way that doesn’t involve romance, he was always his anchor, his brother, his family, friend_ because seeing him happy with Kieran_ someone Ace always wanted, it makes Jun happy even more that Ace himself.

And Ace seeing Jun and Rey_ happy together, matching each other’s energy, nothing can make him happier.
