After being reincarnated as the youngest son of Emperor Wu of Zhou, Zhao Yao was not favored much. In order to survive the bloody power struggle for the throne, he had to bide his time. Finally, he grew up and was granted a title of nobility, only to be exiled to the distant region of Lingnan by his dear father.It was said that Lingnan was incredibly poor, but Zhao Yao was not afraid. He focused on infrastructure and production. Under Zhao Yao's management, Lingnan transformed from a place of exile into a prosperous land.Just when Zhao Yao was happily living his carefree life in Lingnan, the ministers traveled a thousand miles to beg him to ascend the throne.Zhao Yao was baffled. Had these ministers lost their minds?

The person who was locked away inside the thorn-covered tower was not a princess, but a witch who employed the powers of darkness.

A brave young hero came searching for the tower in order to kill the witch.

– Light would force the darkness to recede, and grant it eternal rest

The witch wished.

That things would end with, ‘and the hero lived happily ever after killing the witch,’ like in the fairy tales.

And so, she had devised everything to happen in accordance to her wishes.

But the boy, who had grown up in but no time at all, would make the unfamiliar face of man’s from time to time.

“You want me to kill you? ……Do you really think I’ll let you go?”

Reality was very different from the fairy tales.

“The people don’t know of the precious treasure locked away in the tower.

I won’t let anyone else have this god given treasure, this crown of god surrounded by thorns that no one else could recognize.”

The hero gave the witch a slow and deep kiss.

“I am the true victor, and no one else.”

“From here on out, I'll only do what I want. What makes me Happy”

After years at a dead-end job, Evian finally has enough and quits to pursue his passions but before he could even revel in his new freedom, tragedy struck and he became a creature of Decadence.

Condemned to a life of devouring souls in exchange for strength, Evian is pulled out of the world he knew and made to possess the body of a namesake in a different world of Magic and all sorts of wonder.

A world home to different races taking residency in their own separate corners of it.

In this new world, Evian will find so many opportunities opened to him and it won't take long for him to begin to indulge in those opportunities.

After all, Souls taste good but beauties- Beauties taste even better...
